Did you not watch 2020 on election night? He's got much more to worry about than "avoiding the noise." It's almost like reality hasn't hit some of you and you're still in the mindset of "the best ideas and candidates always win."

This one will probably work out well for him, fwiw. It stopped the Kamala love fest in cold blood. Someone had to do something to change the news cycle and this was pretty mild by comparison to other Trump stories/miscues

Unfortunately, we have too many “conservatives” that have no issue with Trump losing.

Remember how baffled they were at the debate? When he didn't give them an opening to frame it how they wanted, because he focused on policy and Biden came off terribly on policy? Remember how we cheered on his transformation and development?

For better or worse, the voters at the margins aren't holding out for some magic combination of words a candidate might be able to string together on "policy."
As much as I wish that were the case, it's not even close to being so.

Let me clarify something for you.
I want Trump to win. I get pissed when he does stupid shite that lowers the likelihood of his winning. So, I talk about the dumb shite he does that lowers the chances of him winning as I wish he would stop doing it.
The fact those comments piss off fricking morons like yourself is simply a bonus. The meltdowns are hilarious.
I've said as much several times here.
