Only Kamala would be aiding Iran in putting down the protests.
Nah. Trump or Kamala would have the same lobbyists and DoW advisors.

Unless it's true that Iran and its proxies have sleeper cells in the US. IF That's the case, they can hit us right here at home.
After four years of open borders, it's not out of the question that we have terrorist cells ready to go on US soil. In fact, I would be shocked if they didn't take advantage of the mass "open borders" gaffe by the US.
Sarah Adams hit the nail on the head in her recent SRS interview. Churches, stadiums, synagogues, farmers' markets- all prime soft targets for terrorist attacks. The Patriot Act didn't fix anything when we flung the borders open to terrorists who are cunning enough to use archaic means of communication to avoid the eye of digital surveillance. Dealing with the middle east isn't like you're dealing with low-IQ skinnies from Somalia. These people have effectively been fighting both themselves and the outside world for 3,000 consecutive years, and they've gotten good at it.

It won't change anything
There are people that like Trump.
There are people that do not like Trump.
That will not change.

Without reading your OP, my answer is no.
That doesn't mean it's the wrong thing to do, however.
I would suspect that poll numbers rarely go up when military conflict happens. I would guess that there are exceptions to that, but I would also guess that they are rare and probably short lived.

Meh... I don't know how it might affect his poll numbers.
What I do know is American voters elected Trump to lead this nation and sometimes leaders have to make tough decisions based what what HE believes is best for this nation.
The way I see it, we elected Trump to lead, let's let him lead.

The exceptions are when the U.S. is directly attacked. Pear Harbor and 911 are good examples.

Most of the time, a president from either party sees at least a temporary bump in polling following successful military operations.
I don’t think polling enters into Trumps thinking though.

The only thing I do know is to not believe polls.

There’s always a segment of the population that is jingoistic. Unfortunately you are correct. With the midterms looming, it does feel like a wag the dog ploy to get those voters out that don’t want to pivot “midstream”.
I disagree on Trump and polls. He is very sensitive to the polls, otherwise he wouldn’t cry about them constantly being fake.

I don’t think it would impact his numbers which might be the best result.!if the public supported war, the first reversal or setback would result in a complete turnaround. The public only supports military action if it goes perfectly, there are no casualties and no civilian casualties,
