Have republicans completely forgotten how law is written in this country? 8 years of pseudo dictatorship and you flee like rats when every promise isn't kept by month 3.
Why would republicans pass this law using that same tactics they buried democrats over just 7 years earlier?
Be a little patient.
By the way, in those three months many promises were kept. The wall is going up for bid, the travel EO has been done and redone, regulatory EO's are in effect, he withdrew from tpp, opened keystone xl, and expedited manufacturing permits.
This is his first legislative battle, for crying out loud.

No matter how much bitching you can do about Trump, this is still the same freedom caucus and moderate/establishment GOP of the last several years that can't come to a compromise on hot button issues if their very lives depended on it.
It's hard enough for republicans to fight democrats when they're fighting another sub political party inside their own party.
A great Republican POTUS like Ronald Reagan never had this problem with his own party.

Trump needs to understand that government doesn't work like one of his business deals.

I was being patient until I hear this evening that if the bill doesn't pass tomorrow we are stuck with Obamacare. That is not an option.
Yeah, I get it. Negotiating technique. Whatever. The guy is completely polarizing, has a 37% approval rating, and can't even get his own party to work together. His tactics are ridiculous at this point. He keeps pulling out his book from 1987 or whatever and acts like it's the Bible.
He schtick isn't working. We were promised repeal and replace, not
"Give it a try and then give up if we can't get a bill through."
If he were pushing for a bill the Freedom Caucus liked and was fighting Ryan, I would get it. But, he's fighting his own base, essentially - or those who represent much of his base.

Yes, be patient I agree. I'm not fleeing. I will start becoming more critical (of the party) if they cannot start pushing the agendas that will "change" this country for the better.
The way it is now, still seems like they are in it for themselves, minus a few.

It makes billions for republican donors and lobbyists.
You keep repeating this. Don't you realize dems are raking it in too? You think the democrats passed a bill that would mainly benefit repuicans?can't we just dislike awful legislation because it's awful?
Posted on 3/23/17 at 9:12 pm to RogerTheShrubber
Obviously....everyone knows the dems are shady. It's important to remember they both are.

You sound like a moderate who has been watching too much CNN. Or you are too young to remember legislative battles in the house and Senate before the days of nuclear options and reconciliation. This was back when every bill wasn't passed on a straight party line vote and we didn't accuse everyone we disagree with of being a racist or Russian spy.

If it passes, it's on Trump. If it fails it's not on him. I think this is how it works, huh?

You probably need to change your depends after that shite fit.

Good question, why are they seemingly desperate to do it this way, claiming this is their only shot?

Trump is not playing by conventional rules or scorekeeping. Under conventional rules, Trump has to have "his signature legislation" passed, or else he is a failure.
Passing legislation is a Congressional function. Trump can cheerlead, and he did, just like he endorsed McCain. But the cheerleaders don't score touchdowns or baskets. That's up to the team on the field.
It is long past time that Congress be held to account for its actions and failures, which includes the national debt.

Wall will cost $25 Billion and we're going to pay for it.
Travel ban was a total cluster and will be tied up in the courts for a long time.
Glad he withdrew from TPP.
All the other stuff is fine, but you can't lead by Executive Order you whole presidency.
Patience. Sure. Fine. Then don't quit and tell us we're stuck with Obamacare.

I generally stay away from cable news altogether unless I want to be entertained by the hysterics. I certainly don't get my news from there.
I watched dozens of Trump's speeches during the election.
"We're gonna get it done people. We have to."
Now, he's punting if he can't get this crap bill passed tomorrow? And none of you care? How pathetic.

So you want him to go nuclear? Offer pork and political favors like the dems did so you can bitch about him not draining the swamp?
Do you realize you are bitching about Trump not resurrecting 20% of the US economy in less than three months? The fricking civil rights act of 64 (perhaps the most obvious piece of legislation ever written) took over a year to negotiate and pass.
Eta. The aca, which was for a time filibuster proof, took 7 months to pass. And that was using every dirty trick in the book.
Calm down

I don't care if it takes a year. Don't quit and leave us stuck with Obamacare.
Why is that so hard to comprehend?

That's not going to happen. It's a bully pulpit tactic that is as old as politics.
The Senate can put a clean repeal bill on his desk tomorrow. Do you think he wouldnt sign it?
Eta. Let me add color. Who is holding up the process? That's right. House dems. Now who will be punished in 18 if repeal doesn't happen? You guessed it.
This is like the many empty Obama gun control EO's that were threatened. It's part of the process.
