Well I don’t think your standard “protesting” necessarily must equate to “going down” for the person or cause, per se. In fact I’d surmise that Trump actively doesn’t want any type of activity on his behalf that would lead to people “going down for him.” As far as Trump not doing himself any favors, I know it’s heresy to some folks around here (not saying you) to look upon Trump favorably and/or extend him the benefit of the doubt, but given the sordid history of unheard of tactics and attempts to bring him down for the better part of a decade now, I extend him extreme benefit of the doubt on this. And withhold any credibility to his pursuers. All based on recent history.
