Democrats in the senate. They are the ones forcing a shutdown

Nobody should get any credit for simply keeping the government open

The shutdown would be due to the dems filibuster. They get the blame.

They would likely get the credit for averting as well.

It's always the Republicans' fault. Democrats are never at fault.

Ever. For any reason.

Depends on what side you're on and much like the last shutdown, won't matter much in the midterms.

This stupidity should have a cost but it won't.

Republicans don't even have 50 votes even with 3 Dems voting yes, so at this point the bill would just plain fail even without a filibuster.

Schumer and the Democrats. Our President already said they are to blame for any shutdown.

Democrats get the blame for a shut down.

Nobody gets credit if it’s not shut down but republicans should get the credit. This is a sweet deal for democrats. Chip is something that democrats would want and they are getting it to keep the government open for 30 more days.

Republicans have to stay strong on this one . If democrats let the government shut down then Republicans need get a DACA deal together letting them stay With out voting rights. They could include everything they want with it . Make the democrats in the senate turn it down too. That way in the midterms they can use it against the democrats to get more poor and Spanish vote . .

Shocked to see Bret Baier refer to a CNN poll that showed 31% would blame Dems as opposed to 26% for GOP.

If it’s shutdown, liberals OWN it.

If it isn’t, GOP gets credit for funding CHIP for the next 6 years.

MAGA wins either way.

Democrats, they are not voting due to the DACA Dreamers. An issue BTW that is being negotiated as we speak with a deadline of March 5th. DACA has nothing to do with a CR other than Dems making it about DACA. In the meantime millions of American children on the CHIP program wont be able to get care until the CR is passed.

This is an interesting scenario:

Short answer - DEMS should get the blame.
Longer answer - The dems get everything they want in the republican offer, with the exception of the wall/border security. Yet they have to force a shut down to have something to blame on DJT and Reps come mid term elections. Things are going too well for DJT right now. REPS will be able to point to more dollars in almost every normal person’s check. And EVERY dem voted against that.

Truthful answer is that past republicans should be blamed. They have repeatedly caved to the dems over the years. Dems think they are teflon. Now they finally have to negotiate with someone with some hair on his balls.

No one gets credit for doing their freaking job. No care.

1.The party that controls all 3 branches of government.
2. No one.

I'm guessing you know that the bill has to get 60 votes in the Senate and the GOP only has 51 Senators, but you said that anyway.

Right? Do you know what the word compromise means? Surely you do, you watched the Dems do it for 4 years under Obama.
