The nordstream pipeline is only about 100m deep. Any decent diver with a scuba tank could reach it. Hell, some people could free dive it.
So your suspect list is probably only about 9 million people.

At the very least it is an act of war on climate change initiative bullshite. Hypocritical if they did it.
To your point... 300 ft of water depth requires planning, equipment, technical knowledge, and qualified personnel to go to those depths. Really narrows the potential suspects.
Also, a relatively large boat was on site for 4-6 hours at a minimum. Hard to believe they can't retroactively identify potential boats used, which harbor they came out of, etc...
