how can players get $100M contracts? You would think enlightened self-interest would kick in at some point. This madness is 100% bad for business and will hurt everyone involved....seems their wokeness has overtaken their common-sense

Nascar is about to learn a valuable lesson from all this virtue signaling BS. Pretty sure, the NFL and NBA are right behind them with learning something too.

TV contracts expire and won’t be renewed at this rate.
Corporate sponsorships have renewal dates and eventually they will realize “go woke go broke”.
Ad money only works if you are bringing enough eyeballs to his to go the rates.

saw a thing that there's now a "movement" to get them to stop playing the National Anthem before games. if they cave to this i will never step foot in a stadium again...and that includes LSU and Saints games.

The only thing that matters is TV viewership. Fans in the stands don’t matter because the money comes from the Network contracts. The fans will watch and the teams will get paid. Fans won’t give up their teams no matter what the players do.
