If McCarthy had an 1/8th of the fight in him that Gaetz does, he would still be speaker

Absolutely! Less McCarthy’s more Gaetz as elected officials.

Looks like The Five is circling the wagons for McCarthy. They're omitting many of the deals that McCarthy made and then broke and saying it's a nothingburger.

EDIT: Just more proof that they are part of the GOPe/Uniparty.

But what would he do with the majority of Republicans in the House that weren’t with him on this, nor I assume would be with him on much of anything?? How do you wrangle cats that aren’t wrangle-able?

There’s always that other group that doesn’t agree with you - pretty much in everything in life.

McCarthy has done exactly what the Bush/Paul Ryan/Boehner, etc. establishment has wanted him to do.

His fight was the week of being appointed. The main thing he was in for was the initial debt ceiling blowout. Everything else was just icing.

Single subject votes would expose the RINOs for what they are. It would shine a public spotlight on the swap for conservative Americans to see what we all believe it to be….which is why that proposed house rule, which was agreed to in January, never came to the floor for a vote

Who would have voted for that?

Clearly the vast majority of Republicans (200+) would not have, and I doubt many DEMs would expose themselves to that rule, either.

Civil War in the Republican party. Hate that it's come to this. Unfortunately, it's necessary.
