He’s the compromise candidate.

He’s better than McCarthy, a lot better than Emmer, not as good as Jordan, a little better than Scalise. How politically skilled he is at Speaker or being a leader, who knows. I think he’s a little new and open and unknown and the GOPe may think they can control/influence him while MAGA may think they can work with him.

McCarthy sucked to begin with.

Tried to put in mostly more of the same, slight nudge to better…Scalise wasn’t enough of a change.

MAGA move…Jordan was too MAGA.

GOPe counter power play…Emmer was too GOPe.

Compromise…Johnson.

Scalise was for sure a no-go. Democrats riled up people making them think GOP were communists and someone tried to kill him. He didn't introduce anything, say anything, DO anything to denounce that officially.

Can't be a leader when you almost get murdered because of DEM congress social media and do nothing, sorry.

What does Trump think about Johnson? What does Gaetz think about Johnson? If they come out the gate swinging for him, then let's see.

I have no faith that anyone that will not support a CR will be elected speaker.

Hopefully I'm wrong.

Now do Nancy Pelosi

then do Hakeem Jeffries

I mean this is what we're up against...

then you hear Sheila Jackson this week go off on her staff

I don't think the American people know the snake pit that is the Democrat party

they play the political game like Hamas does, they kill and then spit on you...

Johnson & trump have no beef. Johnson used to sit next to Doug collins when they were both in the house and during the trump witch hunts

If I’m going to be fricked by Fed Gov, may as well do it with a Louisiana Johnson!

I agree completely. I was just narrating a summary of the events as they played out with the politicians.

Democrats wouldn’t do like the Republicans. If Republicans were like the Democrats, they would have immediately confirmed Jordan as Speaker with no fricks given. Democrats nominated a race baiting Marxist in Hakeem Jeffries with zero apologies, zero concerns.

But we all know the Republicans just aren’t like the Democrats. Republicans are soft, fearful, and corrupt.

I think we may have reached the end point where both sides are looking for a way out with something they can live with but we’ll see.

MAGA made clear it wasn’t Emmer. GOPe made clear it wasn’t Jordan. It wasn’t going to be another iteration of the old, unimpressive McCarthy faction like Scalise. Maybe it’s Johnson.

I read through last 2 months of Johnson twitter page and he covers most all topics in a positve way. Didn’t see any posts about Ukraine so not sure his position. And nothing about J6 and prisoners nor tapes. But he has a good post history and I could support him as lomg as he wants to control spending and play hardball

I think that’s why you’ll see things go quiet.

After it’s done, look for Trump to blast.
