If House goes Dem in mid-terms, does it move to impeach?

I don't know of any legitimate grounds that could be used, but reason and procedure are not exactly at the top of the DNC playbook these days.

If they get the majority, do they cook up something to at least tag Trump with the impeachment, regardless of the chances to convict?

The day after the new representatives are sworn in.

Probably but does it matter? Too many people think impeachment means removed from office. Not the same thing at all. Clinton was impeached in office.

They will probably wait until some new “outrage” like the “both sides” comment re: Charlottesville and then pretend that’s cause to impeach

I actually think the GOP will keep the house now. The 2nd Amendment thing is so powerful

Dems will move to impeach as fast as the Republicans moved to repeal Obamacare...they will cry it from the rooftops, until they are sworn in.

Ask Newt how much a flimsy impeachment costs a party!

Irrelevant. He didn't have to resign from impeachment.

He also didn't have to run for re-election is my point.

I doubt it

They will get more joy out of tormenting Trump than they would having him removed. Plus they'd get POTUS Pence.

Again, there is no way he gets convicted and removed. The issue is running for re-election with an impeachment count on you. Too many mouthbreathers out there won't understand or care about conviction.

Clinton’s impeachment did not cost the republicans anything. They kept the house and won the White House.

That is as big a lie as the shutdown costing them anything.

They’ll try because they are idiots and/or beholden to idiots.

There’s no way that the Senate convicts without concrete proof of something serious. A Dem sweep this cycle still only brings them into the mid 50s and they need 67 to convict.

There will be a shite ton of postering to do so, but who knows. This could be the motivation to swing trump back in

The presidential election is every 4 years not every 2. If they do this they are just setting a bad precedent

Hopefully so.

That would drive Mueller's BS into the sunlight.

It would likely be the single most stupid political mistake by Dems, in US history.
