Abortions would still happen, but they would be illegal

Just like murdering people is illegal

Should we make murder legal because making it illegal hasn't stopped everyone from murdering? I lean no

Banning abortions may result in ppl breaking that law, but they can’t hold the abortion to my head and threaten me with it. Im not up a fricking creek without a paddle because i dont have my own abortion to defend myself with.

Okay but if people are going to have abortions anyway, why even create a law? It doesn't affect you either way, does it?

Studies comparing rates of abortion before and after changes to abortion laws within a particular region/country support the claim that abortion restrictions lower abortion rates:

Well, the UK doesn't have many guns now. So, seems like those laws worked to reduce the amount of guns, didn't it Hog.

Those "studies" were conducted by biased liberals. Nice try.

OP can't understand the difference between laws which PROHIBIT killing and laws which LEGALIZE killing.

Sorry, I can't help someone like that

Wut?

The studies refute the OP

The idea that abortion restrictions don’t work comes from a highly flawed guttenmacher study that did not account for confounding variables and omitted variable bias between nations.

A few reasons.

1) the barriers to execute an abortion are much higher than to use or simply acquire a gun. You have to have some sort of medical skills to do so. Usually people who have those skills have options and would not be willingly to break the law.

2) regardless of whether or not the murder of a child is prevented, i would prefer a world where justice could be served.

Even if a wave of antiabortion legislation sweeps through the states and eventually Roe v Wade is struck down. The states will push back and liberal ones will allow it.

We aren’t getting rid of abortion, ever.

If NY bans guns people will drive to Jersey to buy guns.
If Alabama bans abortion people will drive to Georgia to get abortions.
What's the problem?

what a simpleton

Sorry, way to be soooooo much smarter than everyone else, oh you who was the first to equate gun laws and abortion laws.

When some pro-gun person makes a statement about cars killing more people it's just as stupid.

You made a dumb thread. We all do it at some point. I have a thread about abortion numbers that I can't figure out, maybe you could drop by and set me straight?

Banning tools will not stop psychos from harming people. They'll just find a different tool or get one illegally. And you take self defense tools out of the hands of law abiding citizens.
