Relevant true story time

After Germany lost World War I, some of its leaders could not stomach the truth that the war had been lost. So they told the country it had been betrayed from within by politicians, socialists, and Jews.

Problem was.. There was no evidence for it. Germany’s army was exhausted, its allies were collapsing, and defeat was already at the door. But “we were betrayed” was easier to swallow than “we lost.”

The story spread because it protected pride and gave angry people someone to blame. Repetition did the rest. Before long, folks began treating belief as proof.

That is how dangerous lies grow. Not because the evidence gets stronger, but because the story gets told louder, longer, and by enough people who need it to be true.

Why am I not surprised that you would delve from actual science to applied critical theory, and compare the two as if there is an actual equivalence?

Nobody compared malaria to an election.

You used history to show people clinging to a false explanation after the evidence pointed elsewhere. I did the same. Calling your analogy “science” and mine “critical theory” doesn’t expose a flaw, it just changes the subject, silly. So point to the historical error or the false statement. Otherwise, you are not arguing with the lesson. You’re just bothered that this one wandered onto your porch.

Biden won during COVID. The entire country was in various forms of lock down as was advocated by Fauci. Fauci is a person of interest because some believe his motives were intentional regarding the election. It is possible that he truly believed the lockdown would work along with masking and vaccination. Most today would agree that masking especially the type that Fauci initially indicated would work did not. Masking became a point of politics as conservatives began to realize the masks were ineffective. Occasionally you will still see people masking in what many believe is a political statement and not preventative action. Fauci also indicated that people stand farther than 6 ft away from one another to help prevent the spread. This of course also seemed futile to people passing around a virus as did the preventative vaccinations that Fauci recommended to all including children. In the midst of this uncertainty, began an election in which Faucii said would have horrendous health issues if people were allowed to vote in near proximity to one another. The result was paper ballots mailed to all voters in many states. No ids, no control over who voted the mail out ballots. This resulted in the highest turnout out of votes ever cast. The integrity of the election came under attack because there was no control of who was voting these mail out paper ballots and when they were not voted correctly for scanners to read, election officials got to determine the intent of the ballot. This went on for weeks in large populated cities that began allowing after election votes mailed to be counted. Election integrity fell as the lack of identification of voters became an issue. And in many states it was determined that noncitizens who had received a drivers license began to receive ballots to vote. To date their has been no evidence of machine fraud and Dominion has won a lawsuit for defamation for the accusation its machine were hacked. But because of Covid and the mail out ballots a higher turnout and vote was had with voters many of whom never showed identification. The save America act intends to prevent voting without identification and to prevent non citizens in voting.

It exposes a fact.

In doing so, the exposure highlights differences in our respective thought processes.

Whereas science constantly questions, tests, and challenges a hypothesis, critical theory does just the opposite. Questioning or challenging a critical theory is deemed unacceptable. The latter is the realm in which you operate.

Funny thing is, I’ve been asking for the same thing all along. Test the claim against the evidence.

My story made a historical claim. If it’s wrong, show me where. If the lesson doesn’t fit, explain why. That’s how you challenge an argument. Instead, you skipped past the history, skipped past the reasoning, pinned a label on it, and started talking about labels. Silly goose.

An old cowboy would call that riding around the fence instead of opening the gate. You still haven’t touched what was on the other side.

I’m sorry, I can’t let this go. The irony of a leftists trying to educate anyone on repeating lies is simply too rich. Seriously, after muh Russia for 3 years, the “free and fair elections” refrain repeated ad nauseam , and then covidian panic by the mockingbird democrat controlled media, you can just go frick right off with your sanctimony.

Repeating lies to the point where people believe them isn't a partisan issue.

Also, ignorants repeating lies they don't understand are lies (due to lack of intelligence, education on the issue, etc.) is why we have the term NPC, now.

Well, that’s quite a speech, baw, but it still does not answer the sentence you quoted.

If claims about Russia, elections, or COVID were false, then test them against the evidence. I have no objection to that. I use it whether the claim comes from the left, the right, or anybody else.
What you handed me wasn’t evidence. It was a fistful of old grievances. They might explain why you believe what you believe, but they do not establish that any of it’s true. That’s where the trail parts ways.

Media narratives around Russian BS and Covid have both been proven to be bullshite, as now climate change is falling apart. I’m sure there are others that aren’t percolating to the top of my mind. But sure the media all sang “free and fair elections “ in harmony because they were being totes objective, you know, their one job.
Please tell me one widespread conservative conspiracy pushed by the media/entertainment establishment?
Now ask yourself, why do you think you believe what you believe?

Nah, nothing to do Trump. Plenty of evidence.

You know all this immigrant fraud that's been going on for years? Yeah, dems are all involved in that. Bet you don't even believe that news either...

Your party does nothing but cheat.

Oh yeah, go check out the bullshite with the last LA Mayor race.

If you believe the dems elections are legit, you really are a brainwashed moron.

Perhaps but it’s only the left that has institutionalized the practice.

And as it relates to election fraud, reasonable people are simply choosing to look at an absurd series of events and saying “that looks like bullshite”. That’s not a lie, that’s choosing not to believe a lie. It is you who is offering the lie.

2020 Election fraud (while there may be some real evidence out there that will be revealed one day 90%+ of the CTs will not be supported by it)

QAnon alone probably has 100

Covid has a ton

Covid vaccines

Obama isn't American

No. This thread is actually evidence destroying your comment.

You're just doing the in/out group dishonesty where all the examples of your in-group doing the same thing will be promoted as some form of legitimacy, while every example of the out-group doing the same thing will be illegitimate and therefore bad/evil.

Covid alone made the world absurd.

Again, just go back to the CA voting data. Why was 2020 such an outlier in a state where it would be retarded to engage in election fraud for Biden?

Thanks for proving my point. The right has their own niche media. The rest of the world has the leftist media apparatus.

You're doing the "legitmacy" thing I posted about above and then using it to dishonestly frame the discussion

I listed several right-based conspiracy theories, mind you.

Hell poor Strannix danced on the grave of dozens of teens who committed suicides hoping it was due to the Covid vax.

I asked for widespread rightwing conspiracies pushed by the media/entertainment apparatus. Of course there are right wing conspiracies, I have a boomer mom who is very right wing so I hear them all, the point is that they do not originate from the top down via corporate media. They are usually a reaction to the corporate media narrative.

Simple test…go google any of the things you mentions and 90% of the hits will be calling it a “conspiracy” and labeling it as some kind of dangerous wrong think. Now Google any left wing conspiracy and note the difference.

Right wing media preaches to the choir, left wing media indoctrinates the world.

Now ask yourself why you really believe what you believe.

The only reason anyone showed up to a kamala rally was they were actually just paid for hip hop concerts.

Notice when acts wou cancelled, everyone would just leave.

Nobody gave two craps about kamala.
