If and it's a huge if, dems win control of senate & presidency they will tax savings and

retirement accounts and seize a large chunk of all 401K accounts as well as any home equity home owners have built. They are already admitting to eyeing a wealth tax and that is the last and biggest prize out there. That is coming when they get the power. This is key to paying for all their huge "Green Dream" initiatives per a very recent WSJ article.

Based on the proposals coming out of the Dem primaries, I believe there will be a very real push to confiscate 401K’s within the next 10 years

That happens there will be a run on precious metals and the economy will tank as banks see record withdrawls.

This wealth tax is theft. Pure and simple theft.
It's been done in other countries. It's failed most places that it was tried.
What is most alarming to me is that the concept is actually gaining traction. Seems to me it's just a matter of time before they get enough support to make it happen.

Unconstitutional theft (unlike the income tax, which is constitutional theft thanks to the 16th Amendment).

You have $200K in equity; therefore you OWE the government 10% (or whatever) of that equity ON TOP of what you pay in other taxes

Agree. I wonder how many conservatives will sit it out like the mid terms.

I used to research candidates and vote for the best candidate, I guess I still do, in the primaries...
I won't be voting for any Democrat in any election for the foreseeable future
