The left is already chanting "death to America.". They would be giddy if we were attacked. They would use it as an excuse to blame the right and see it as a justification for their burning, looting, and murdering. It would cause them to actually step up their destruction of America.

Democrats would immediately open investigations on Trump's failure to prevent it. That would be the sole focus of Congress until he was impeached.

A couple of years ago I would have said it would unite us but we're way past that. The Democrats backed, allowed, and stood by groups of lunatics terrorizing American citizens and property in the name of some horseshite movement that is based in lies, ignorance, and manipulation. They've either lost their minds or have always had these minds and Trump pulling their power away from them has caused them to drop all pretenses of being decent people.
This is 100% exactly what would happen. They have tried to cripple America because of a virus less deadly than the flu just to try and turn it against Trump, does anybody think they wouldn't have a war room to discuss the talking points and strategies to use the situation to take down Trump before the buildings even came down? All of the chaos of 2020 goes back to one figurative Dem folder, "Trump's America". Cause unrest, spin it against Trump, no matter how nonsensical
