Exactly this. !!!

Late boomers are even more conservative than X'ers. For example, Reagan carried Texas Tech and Texas A&M by 88% + in 1984.

It was a glorious time. No libtards to be found on campus- totally discredited and hiding like rats.

Well, the 70 and 80 year olds of today were the hippies of the 60's and 70's...they were the ' make love not war" generation warped by the trauma of Vietnam..
Free love, free drugs, those old frickers were a pretty loose and wild bunch of acid dropping non- conformists.

The debt in 2000 was 6 trillion, and that debt bought an end to the cold war and gave us American hegemony which allowed your generation to be the first in 300,000 years to not face mortal combat.

In 2000 the Boomers were about 38 to 56 years old, so prime taxpaying years. The Boomers have been the ones paying taxes while this debt has run up. Your generation was in the early years of earnings and benefitting from a tax schedule that allowed you to pay next to nothing in federal taxes, because you weren’t making much yet, which is one of the reasons we have this debt.

He's too dumb to see it. I mean, does he actually think that Boomers make up most of BLM or Antifa?

There's good and bad in every generation. Our fight is against the corrupt Political Establishment, not any one generation.

OP -

It would seem you are on the current anti-boomer bandwagon that a lot of folks are on. I have no idea of which generation you belong to and I don't care. Because within a generation you do not have agreement. Sure, folks protesting as your reference are boomers, but how the hell many? This generation contained the hippies from the 60s and I suspect many of them feel compelled to protest again.

You are stereotyping a generation. You tell me someone born in the 60s in Nebraska or the Dakotas that have worked their entire life (likely very much more than you), was not integral to the current shift towards the way America was (and likely before you knew what that was). Not to mention the many folks from the boomer generation that got caught up in the Viet Nam war and never came back home.

I am right between the boomer and Gen X generations. Your stereotypical placing of folks to a particular generation is idiotic and frankly illustrates your immaturity.

I suspect you will reply all and mighty about how I am an older person that has no intelligence - but I would suspect this. And frankly I don't give a rat's arse.

You are a crass punk that thinks they know all but you have a lot to learn. And obviously your parents did not teach you humility and respect.

Y’all nailed it. OP is an Educated Idiot. Because of his propaganda education, he thinks he’s real smart. He’s being played like a royal fool and doesn’t have the ability to see it.

He can’t figure out who hold the levers of power in this country. He has a difficult time getting ahead, and instead of looking inward, and figuring out how to, he takes the cowards & easy way and just blames Boomers for all his shortcomings in life.

form 8 mile circle jerk/daisy chain

Just updating this. It wasn’t anywhere close to 8 miles. That was just their “goal.” The Columbus Dispatch was as nice as they could be without coming out and saying it wasn’t that many people. NBC ran with “8 miles” yet only showed about a block of people (and that’s the same video being shared across all social media).

quote:

The event aimed to form a human chain along an 8-mile stretch of High Street between downtown Columbus and State Route 161 in Worthington. Turnout appeared to fall short for that — in the Short North, protestors clustered on each block, but did not link hands — but organizers said they believed thousands attended.

About 8,000 people were needed to form a chain without breaks, organizers estimated before the protest. In the Short North, there were not enough people for a chain, but people clustered cheerily in groups on each block. They rang cowbells, held signs and shouted slogans to passersby.

They built their life off of cheap labor and easy credit

They know they owe their “success” to immigrant labor and Chinese industry

Many of the older folks were union workers and were controlled by the Dems. They are not in tune with the newer online platforms and watch network news. But look at the southern states that Trump carried. Many have a huge black population who generally vote straight Democrat. But yet, Trump wins easily. The boomers in the south do not vote Democrat as much. Location has most to do as to what you are seeing.
