Killing U.S. soldiers for an immoral cause is not something that should be celebrated with pride by any American.

Of course it didn't. You've already shown that you have no interest in history, outside of what fits your worldview.

Actually I'd take that as unintentional irony on your part.

Which is why this is my solution to the statue problem. One of these in every town:

Its not like that's how it's being remembered in this narrative. The value judgements and truth of the history isn't important to what I'm talking about. I'm explaining why there is such an emotional reaction to this statue thing, because it cuts at one of the legends the culture has spun into it's identity.

Funny thing about that. Let me ask you a question:

Do you think I view you as a countryman? Someone to whom I owe the slightest iota of loyalty? Feel any kinship or sentimentality for you? View it as a duty to come to your defense, to have respect for your opinions, to give that opinion any credence?

Or expect any of that from you, or frankly care if you view me in the same manner?

Now you can slough that off if you want to. But there really aren't any ties that bind anymore.

If it makes you feel any better, Ohio can do whatever the hell it wants to. Expect the same from them though.

Shouldn't the West Coast be seceding right about now?

Long run you become some kind of hispanic state with a Chinese elite, but as long as you stay there, it's all good.

Not sure what the Chinese are going to do with all those Sherman statues when we ship them there, but it's your problem.

Take it how you want. You'd be wrong. Again.

You need to tighten up your shot group. You're all over the place.

I understand why there is an emotional reaction. I'm explaining why it's an ignorant reaction.

The answer to everything you asked is:

I don't really give a frick how you view me.

And you'll note how much I haven't argued against that point.

Right. You're explaining something that doesn't need to be explained.

Nah.

Judging by your sig, you live in "Cascadia," and have "Calfornia Uber Alles" as a motto of sorts.

Now you might be a big Black Flag fan. Or just a SJW who found his spiritual home (otherwise I'm not sure how you became an Alabama fan).

Yet who still wants to put Sherman statues across the towns of the South.

As for the rest of that post...

Paying attention to current events chief? Whites are bailing on California.

Cost of living has a lot ot do with it. That is the big one for the leftover Okies that are back migrating to Texas and Oklahoma.

Then there is the SJW white. Unless they are 1% types, they usually bail when their little snowflake finds themself in an increasingly Asian school system, and they find they just are incapable of grinding the same way. Plus it's a drag, y'know?

Then they move to Portland or Seattle. They Californicate that place, and the previous locals bail for the Dakotas or Yakima or something.

Anyway, I'm sure you've noticed how hispanic California is now. For the Chinese side of things, go to Vancouver (the Canadian one). You'll find the other half of your future there.

It's a Dead Kennedy's song and it compares the libs in CA to Nazi Germany. Sweet deductive skills.

As to the rest of your post, I don't live in CA and haven't for 25 years but I appreciate the effort.

and for future reference, CA is usually not considered part of Cascadia, though some people do include the northern half of the state.

Hmmm haven't that song in 25 years or so. Dead Kennedy's does sound right though.

Don't worry it's creeping north.

It will take longer, but one day all the hipsters are going to find Portland became a different sort of town. God only know where they will want to go at that point.

Portland already is a different sort of town. My family has been in the west for 6 generations, it's not our fault. If you guys could keep all your SJW's from moving out here we'd appreciate it. Seems like every waxed mustache dipshit I meet out here is originally from the south or midwest.

How did you become an Alabama fan? Guessing that is what northshorebamaman means.

Seems unlikely you would have decided to go to school in Alabama. So what's the connection?

If it means something else, why exactly are you (and that Buckeye guy) on an SEC football board?
