It still doesn't change that the shooting of Pretti LOOKS---without further explanation---to be excessive use of force. The longer the Feds delay producing an investigative report, the more it looks like that's an admission.
Less than 2 weeks prior, we have very clear footage of Pretti spitting on federal agents and attacking their vehicle, causing damage - likely more than $1K's worth. He also had a firearm on him. That is felony aggravated assault on federal agents, punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
They should have arrested him on the spot and prosecuted him to the fullest extent of the law. Regardless of how that would have turned out ultimately, he very likely WOULD NOT have been back on the streets, emboldened to run up to an arrestee and interfere with federal agents.
I think I fully understood by the time I was in 3rd grade that you cannot physically interfere with an arrest and expect to come out physically unharmed.

Agreed. I asked why the Feds didn't arrest him then and there. The consensus was that they didn't want to divert men from their immigration round up.

DHS hasn't released any information or had a press conference unlike other ICE shootings. If they had something favorable---other than he was an illegal alien---they would have released it by now.

The facts aren't liberal or conservative. We still don't know the facts of the Pretti case. From the video, it looks like two Feds overreacted and panicked. The Feds are still "investigating" themselves. Don't expect the results of that "investigation" to come out before the next Administration...if then.
