When is he going to get out there?

He’s starting to remind me of Giuliani in 2007.

Is his campaign team not ready for prime time or what?

I’m beginning to think he should just keep that $100M in the bank and just keep adding to it for 2028. He needs to make a significant move soon. Unfortunately, he can never pull off what Trump did last night. He’ll come off as a jerk without the funny parts...all jerk, no humor. He needs to be put in a setup that can play to his strengths. Maybe a Rogan appearance?

What do you think he needs to do? Or do you think what’s happening is fine?

As soon as he enters his name into the race, he will be the betting favorite and that will continue through the 2024 election.

So it’s about personality over policy

If Ron were smart, he’d stay on the sidelines and only throw his hat in the ring should the dems move to throw Trump in jail, which I think they will do in the summer of 2024. Let the gop nominate Ron at the convention under exceptional circumstances. Otherwise, I think Trump is going to destroy him in the primaries and he’ll be so badly damaged that he won’t be able to garner any support at the convention.

It's May 2023.

There would be no issue with his announcement if Trump hadn't declared ridiculously early.

I’m not sure.

Trump is going to be indicted again in a few months and he’ll get another boost from it.

I think so.

I didn’t say it was right.

The best way for this to happen is for DeSantis to have a large enough block of supporters so that Trump can't take them for granted. It's likely DeSantis can't win. But it is very likely he has to be paid attention to.

Maybe he should stop before he ruins it for himself in 2028?

I think it’s a pride thing for Ron right now. It’s clearly not his time but he seems dead set on jumping into the race nonetheless.

If he runs he causes a split at best. There's a wildly popular incumbent (yes in the eyes of his constituents). He's already the governor of one of the largest states and doing a great job in that role. The absolute best thing he can do for everyone including himself is announce he's not running and he'll keep governing Florida and we'll you see you in 2028. He's not anti-Trump and doesn't want to be, that will kill his base. It's just stupid for himself personally. If he runs we know he's a controlled asset

I don’t have to. It is what it is.

Big Dick Ron D is about to run this shite, and there’s not a single damn thing you can do about it, Sir Soy.

If he can't handle Trump now then he ain't fit to run in 2028. Let's hope Trump essentially destroys the republican bench this election cycle. We know the electorate is incapable of being pragmatic and relishes the destruction of said bench.

Desantis fricked up. Accept it. He likely had his opportunity to work with Trump, possibly to secure the VP nod. He would be the prime candidate in 2028, but he listened to the siren song of the globalist Rino's who fed him full of ego inflating compliments that he sucked up because of his obvious vanity.

If he had just bided his time, be a team player and aligned with Trump then his path to the Presidency would be a given.

Now.. it's highly speculative to even think about his chances in 2028.

We could really use DeSantis as Attorney General. It would be more substantial and important than VP.

Clean out the DOJ, FBI, ATF, DEA.

Clear out that shite for 4 years as Trump’s point man in restoring our justice system then have Trump hand the ball for the Presidency off to him in 2028.

One can dream.

It's not about if he can handle it or not.
Endorse Trump, don't have a battle, be wildly popular among Trump voters come 2028
Or run against Trump and be destroyed in battle
Why would he risk fighting Trump when he doesn't have to just to get in 4 years sooner? Just wait 4 years and it's infinitely easier.
