I wonder how much money China made off American Christmas presents

There probably no way of knowing. One has to imagine that China sees a surge of money from Americans’ end of year spending spree.

How much of the stuff that you gave as gifts came from China?

It's not easy finding consumer products and trinkets that are not made overseas.....sad.

Very little. But I bet the Malaysians and Vietmanese did quite well. It was clothes for Christmas, so I supported third world sweat shops from those textile dominant cultures.

The ratio of CEO pay to average hourly pay for employees was 36:1 in 1980

In 1990 it was 73:1

It peaked in 2000 at 370:1

Today it is approximately 300:1
