I was laughed at for admitting Tigerdroppings is my main source for news

The other night at dinner, I told people they need to step away from cable news as their news source. They asked me what was my source. I said tigerdroppings and Fox 8 for weather and local news. They laughed.
I don’t need someone to read opinions to me. I’m smart enough to form my own opinions after reading a story.
Thank all of you for your knowledge. Let them laugh at us.

Why? It's mine. Everyone rushes to publish every news and "News" article on the web here in 1 place. Plus, we get to argue over it. By the time I get home, I don't need to watch the nightly news.

I do not watch MSM or regularly visit news sites for the very reason you cited. But when I drop onto the Poliboard I sample a couple of different topics and start doing some research on them on my own. So yeah, I actually agree with you.

This board gets info out faster than the MSM. It's a great resource, but I take it with a grain of salt since there is alot of conjecture on here.

I read the Advocate sometimes and glance at the headlines on Drudge but I do get a lot of news on here
