I think it's a good chance that "aliens" and not biological...

Sure, possible they are - but unless they've perfected travel at thousands of times the speed of light or they themselves have incredibly long life-times - traveling across such massive distances that separate us - it's not for a bilogical creature.
One possibility is that their "mother ship" travels for centuries with no living creature on board - and a few years before the ship gets to it's destination - an embryo is fertilized, a child is raised to finish the mission - or an adult is cloned from scratch.
I think it more likely that the UAP's the military is seeing is being controlled by advanced artificial intelligence, and the creatures that have been seen at various times - are artificialy created bodies run by the same AI.

If advanced artificial intelligence has the capability to artificially create bodies and run their AI, why wouldn't they just as easily be able to create such bodies that perfectly blend in with those of where they are? Doesn't seem like a big step beyond just creating these spooky 'Grey' creatures that can't really interact with everyone without the risk of blowing their cover.

The UFOs are not alien creatures of flesh (matter).
If they were, there technology is almost god like compared to ours. And this leaves only bad options:
1- They do not wish to make contact with us. Well, they’d might as well not be here, since we cannot force contact. And in this case why hang around or come in the first place. This would be the highest possible bad option to exist. They’re just passing through looking at the local wildlife.
2- They don’t want to interfere with us (think Star Trek prime directive). Well they suck at this. First you would think that if they could travel a kabillion Miles to get here, then they can cloak their whole light-radio spectrum. Think super advanced stealth technology. But these guys fly around with their bright lights on, and play tag with everyone within a thousand miles of them. Not impossible, but also not logical.
3- They are here and they do contact us, but they pick up locals in the boondocks to do nasty things to them, and/or they only contact a limited number of governments and their organizations. This is also illogical and almost impossible. Since we cannot do a damned thing to stop them, why be secretive when grabbing rape-murder-torture victims? And it’s impossible for any government to keep this secret for most of a hundred years!
This leaves two choices:
Spiritual-these are spirits, demons, Demi-gods, etc.
Logical- these are high secrete technology Western human aircraft.
