Since when do civilians have to call military officers by rank?

Was he leading the brigade today?

what a douche. Go look at the very beginning when Vindy walked in he is such a douche. when he hears all the cameras going off on him he was so smug like a celeb douche.

I missed this part though he directed Nunes to call him Lt. Col? Nunes is not military he doesn't have to call him anything.

I don’t have an issue with him insisting on being call by his rank but the fact that the statement is making its round as some sort of clap back is all you need to know about this whole thing.

It's common courtesy, but not required, especially by the ranking member of the House Committee on Intelligence.

I'm not saying it wasn't calculated by Nunes, but Vindman's response is...telling.

If there was another "Vindman" on the panel today I can understand distinguishing them, but this came off as self-important douchery.

Nunes should have replied "Am I in the military?" "Let me ask you this again Mr. Vindman".

90 percent of the population wouldn’t know what the military ranks are in the first place. If they expect civilians to address them that way, they are going to be pissed all day every day.

Vindman doesn’t know who the whistleblower is but can’t say who he talked to for fear of outing the whistleblower!!!!!!!!!

What a charade.

In my adult education days I had a student who introduced himself to me and told me all about his Navy background. He gave me his rank etc. and it was a mouthful, but he told he his men just called him "Chief" and that I could as well if I wanted to. I told him welcome to the class, Mr. "X."

Pretty sure that qualifies as "contempt of Congress" doesn't it?

Aren't Lt. Colonels verbally addressed simply as "colonel?"

Nunes should have asked if his "title" was revoked for treasonous acts against the USA? Or is that just being sent to the Gallows with no military funeral rights?
