I’d say slightly, as there are lots of great things to see and do in blue states, but I get where you’re coming from. It’s a shame you can’t see the beauty of the Pacific Coast unless you go to Juneau, AK, but there’s no shortage of mountain beauty in Montana, Idaho, Utah, and Wyoming. Florida has excellent beaches, but it’s not the same.

It must be awful to have politics rule your life to where this question makes any sort of fricking sense.
The ONLY way her relatives will see her is if she goes there. They refuse to ever set foot in Alabama.
Silliness abounds

Heck, I don’t have any desire anymore to go to New Orleans or Baton Rouge.

My personal view is I won't let the politics of any one or any place stop me from having fun somewhere.

I would only travel or visit American states, not shite holes.

It's America and your choice, for the moment.

I refuse to visit blue states - am I overreacting?
When I book a vacation, for me it's whatever is the best/most fun and new type of vacation for my family, and I and whether it's a blue or red state is legit the last thing on my mind in making that call, but I don't blame or think less of anyone who would factor that in.

Yes. Hold true to what you believe in, but don't allow it to restrict your own life. Restricting travel to places just because there are high concentrations of people who vote against your interest is restricting your own lifestyle. I'd also think you'd limit yourself to a lot of international travel by being so staunch.
Enjoy your life, man. You only get to live one time. Go vacation wherever the frick you want.

I went to Blue state Colorado this week and saw more Trump flags in the Montrose area than I’ve seen in Louisiana.

My wife and I have decided against vacations recently because they would’ve been to Hawaii and California. We won’t even visit her family in Illinois, but they are super liberal so we wouldn’t have much fun there anyway. I refuse to fund the economies of liberal areas where the people and government would be perfectly content with socialism. Are we over reacting?
