Can you describe to us not in the know how Massie is a grifter?

Massie dared to have an opinion other than Trump's. That's a lifetime sentence in MAGA land

The fact of the matter is that you have two very different guys.

Massie believes what he believes, votes that way, and there is no bend. It is 100% conviction.

Trump is very much a pragmatist. He says what he needs to say to get elected and then once elected, takes a significantly more measured and "deal making" approach once in office. He does not have a strict belief structure on many issues other politicians do.

This is not a commentary on whether one is better than the other. Both types have there uses. Simply an observation as to why they would be at odds.

This looks right.

Opposing bad ideas is enough

We don't need more legislation. We need less.

Blame those who do not vote for what he proposes, not him for proposing them.

But that's not grifting. Grifting is obtaining something of value illicitly, usually small things.

By ‘pushing’ do you mean he ‘talks a shitton about these things’ or did he actually ‘do’ something?

What do you want him to do? He can do two things: Vote (he always votes the same way), and propose bills.

There's nothing else he can do. Blame the rest of Congress.

Watch how many MAGA supporters come out against this bill just because Massie sponsored it:

Wut?

Thune and Johnson are the RINO’s but Trump constantly praises them.

Everything that Trump campaigned on, Massie is trying to work through in the House.

That is a complete lie. Massie does not support border security, building the wall, deportations, and believes in the Libertarian fantasy of open borders.

Besides, anyone paying attention can see that Massie is completely against everything MAGA, against anything that would be a win for Trump, and is doing everything in his power to divide the GOP.

Trump is a negotiator.

I agree with Massie that cutting funding would end it, but Trump wants to negotiate a better deal and needs the threat of the stick to force Putin to the table in a way that will optimize how we leave things over there.

This is a summary of what Grok thinks of this statement:

quote:

The statement is mostly inaccurate and misleading due to its lack of nuance and reliance on inflammatory rhetoric. Here’s a summary of the components:

Border Security: Massie supports border security but prioritizes targeted measures over broad funding bills, making the claim that he doesn’t support it inaccurate.

Building the Wall: He has consistently opposed funding for Trump’s border wall, making this part mostly accurate but oversimplified.

Deportations: He supports deporting criminals but opposes mass deportations, so the claim that he doesn’t support deportations is false.

Open Borders: There’s no evidence Massie supports open borders; he’s a Republican with libertarian leanings, not an advocate for unrestricted immigration.
