You know, we shafted Russia when the wall came down. We actually reassured them that the former eastern block, Ukraine, etc.would remain neutral territory. Then we shoved NATO right up their arse, and CIA started flipping Ukraine.
It was far worse than that. Read up on the Harvard Institute for International Development and their USAID-funded project to “ help rebuild the Russian economy on the basis of western concepts of ethics, democracy and free markets” sometime.

The same malevolent globalist bastards who have gotten stinking rich exploiting the US economy tried to “help” Russia in the same manner. With them back firmly in control of US policy again, it’s no surprise that Putin doesn’t trust us.

If I were dictator there would be people I’d have taken out. No question.

In our political system, you don't have to be a dictator to have someone taken out. It just has to look like an accident.
The difference is that Putin takes people out by putting Barium in their beverage. That way the message is damn-well noticed.

I wouldn't say I like his policies or how he takes advantage of things but I do believe he is a great leader. Dude is a genius and comes off as mentally competent unlike our current Fake President *

Putin is the king of trolls.

He’s masterful at playing one side against the other.

No. There is certainly some Soviet mentality in his thinking, it comes out every once and a while. But he is a Russian nationalist and everything he does is in that spirit, from his internal policy, foreign policy, and even aesthetic proclivities.

He's also Russian Orthodox, has a street named after him in Bethlehem, and made a pilgrimage to Mount Athos not too long ago.

No sense in reinventing the wheel. This is exactly what I came to say.

People want a strong leader. Especially one popular among his own people.

No mystery to it. We envy the Russian people, to some degree.

How about one that won't sell out his own country.

Trump and Putin have that in common.

Russian nationalism is intertwined with sovietism. He has consistently tried to regain lost territory, is general anti capitalism for the people and has no qualms about retriggering cold war conflicts

We have been reduced to admiring someone like Putin because our own government is just so fricking bad and have been selling out it s people to advance the oligarchs interests and enrich themselves along the way.

Especially that. There have been so many lies, it's getting harder to trust anything we think we know.

You are wrong here. The NWO is not about social justice. It is about making filthy rich money and he is one of the players. He is closing in on a Billion dollar net worth.

I do agree that I trust him more than the dems though.

Conversely

Let's not get crazy. Bush is a devious MF. He is former head of CIA and runs his elections like a Democrat. I don't trust either. The difference is Bush is smart and Biden is...Biden.

FWIW, I agree with what you originally wrote.

So you turn your admiration to a guy that has been doing it longer and using more brutal tactics, a country that has been a mafia state since that fall of the Soviet Union?

You might as well admire Maduro, the only real difference between the two is Putin/Russia has enough military presence not to be meaningfully pressured by the US.
