I like Barnette over Oz but she's got some stupid tweets she'll have to PR battle

I think the media are keeping their powder dry to go full on after her once she's up against a Democrat in the general but they're going to hammer her for "bigoted" tweets about Islam and homophobia. The tweets are starting to get play and so far her counter strategy isn't a good one...
She was asked about a Tweet that said "pedophilia is a cornerstone of Islam". She responded with "No. I don't think that's me. I would never have said that." Problem is the tweet is still on her timeline.

I really don’t see a problem. We need more elected officials who are actually normal. I don’t care about Islam or sexuality, she’s entitled to her opinion.

I believe she was but was thought of as a non-contender and it was seen as a two horse race between Oz and McCormick. My theory on the shitty Oz endorsement is McCormick publicly put responsibility for J6 on Trump so my guess is Trump put his weight behind McCormicks presumptive main rival.

But that's been not her initial response in the media. She's not standing by what she said. She says "I never would have said that." Why? Is it controversial? Is it wrong?
That's why I don't think that's a winning strategy. If you have takes like that it's best to dig in, stand by them. Saying you didn't say it looks like cowardice. Like you can be bullied into running from your words.

She's still better than the RINOs she running against. But PA go ahead and send another Jeff Flake to the Senate when you may have at MTG that will speak her mind. Cruz, Beck and Levin came around, I would go with her.

She has no chance in a general election. Oz has been in suburban moms heads for almost 20 years. He will definitely win a general election against any dem they put out there. Nobody knows what he’ll do when he wins. But, I doubt it would be worse than what a dem would do. It’s basically damage control.

I don’t trust Barnette cause she is being backed and funded by the Club of Growth which is in turn funded by globalists and neocons.

Oz is the smarter pick but I don't mind going to war with this woman on my side tbh. Who knows - last time we ran with a bunch of "far right" candidates in 2016 they cleaned house.

I watched a stream with Robert Barnes yesterday, who prides himself on being a bit of an insider in populist/America First circles. He said Barnette is just really a political rookie and doesn't have any idea what she is doing, but still preferable if you want chaos and an outsider. He had nothing good to say about Oz.
