War is an impossible sell at this point between two nation states.
Which is why Cyber War is being predictively programmed to nauseam.
It would be impossible to gain support and justify traditional human on human war at this point in time.

Your motive to stop hearing about COVID, I can respect.
But we haven't been very successful at our Nation building efforts abroad. In fact, we have been downright terrible at it and spent unimaginable sums of life and treasure doing it with nothing to show for it.
But it sure does keep the MIC humming along quite well...
