In an emotional recounting, Alyssa Milano said that she was assaulted while at a concert in her teens.

Milano, now 45, has become a prominent voice in the #MeToo movement and has publicly taken a stance against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. In a video she shared to Twitter Wednesday, the actress shared her story.

"My name is Alyssa," she began. "When I was 19 years old, I was at a concert of a very famous pop star, who told the crowd to get closer to her. This resulted in a stampede."

Describing the scene, Milano remembered: "People were smashed against each other, I couldn't breathe. I thought I was gonna die.

"From behind me, I felt a hand up my skirt, and I was punched repeatedly in the vagina," she said of her alleged assault. "I couldn't turn around. I looked to the stage, and I looked to the security guards, and I said, 'Please, help me.' They couldn't help me."

Milano said she was able to flee by climbing up on stage. The star said she couldn't tell who had assaulted her in the crowd.

"I couldn't report because I didn't know who it was to report," she said. "And I didn't tell anybody, because I didn't know who it was to tell on."
