Problem is that it would break up like Syria did in civil war and would be a problem for 20 years.

Maybe at some point it would sort out favorably.

There’s no way to win. Trump’s already shite-stained legacy will be this blunder of a war.

As a huge Trump supporter I’ll let you know we really don’t care about this as much as those with tds do, just as I don’t care about Biden, Bush, Obama, Clinton, etc. the world will still turn and burn. You guys act like the debt won’t continue to grow and this will be the last war.

I think the goal probably is to destabilize it and weaken it, like Syria, then install who we want.

I truly don't understand the idiocy required to make such a statement, or gross dishonesty.
Iran jas been crippled. Their military has been set back decades. The economic destruction is extensive and will become more apparent as the weeks and months roll by.
Following that, civil unrest will likely occur as the living conditions worsen in Iran.

Major trump derangement syndrome as well as growing hate from a message board. I’m really surprised a few people on this board haven’t moved to Iran with how sympathetic they are towards them.

Syria didn’t break up. Given the distance to Turkey and general ease of access to Europe, I don’t think you guys are thinking through the implications of a potential civil war in Iran.

Their regional power was never based on their conventional military.

I don’t think you are understanding what I meant. Their regional power is based on two things, Shia Islam and the massive disaffected Shia population in the region. They don’t necessarily need an actual nuclear weapon, but need the threat of building it, but in terms of the escalation, they have the ability to move IRGC assets into neighboring countries and form militias, having a large group of able-bodied men willing to fight. The issue is that hardline groups in the Gulf have historically treated Shia as apostates and have internally repressed various Shia groups. This has happened from The KSA to Bahrain to Pakistan and Afghanistan. There is also a very large potential group of Shia in India, although I don’t think the Iranians have made overtures to that group yet.

As long as Sunni Arab groups feel insecure and repress Shia in their own countries, the potential recruits for Iran remain. The fact of disaffected populations is the more immediate security concern to Gulf Arabs, or at least should be.
