I'm not one to get all mad about an election because things change every two to four years. Don't like it vote next time. What does upset me is people who have just crapped on the military and every veteran who has ever served. They sent us to those shite hole countries to fight these communist and terrorist and now we have Americans electing islamic supporters to congress and the senate. Something has to happen to change the way these idiots think. It's really sickening.
I was in Iraq for the second war. I remember feeling like I was fighting for nothing while I was still over there. I got my college paid for, saw the world, and got on with my life. That's the thing about military service: you do your job, history does what it does, and eventually you learn to make peace with the things you can't control. shite happens. Drive on.

Just like AT&T died in 1982?
Granted AT&T's most valuable asset wound up acquired by a French company for a paltry 5 cents on the dollar or so. The 7 "Baby Bells" were allowed to acquire all the non Bells (like GTE) and enter the cell business. Since then the 7 are now just 3 and have a virtual monopoly today
Verizon = North East & Mid West
AT&T = name purchased by Southwestern Bell, and merged with Baby Bells in the South and South West
T Mobile = Mountain and West Cost
While the Standard Oil Trust was busted, the offspring live on today
Exxon Mobile
Chevron
Marathon
BP acquired Amoco and SOHIO

Do you really believe either of these MASSIVE oil companies went there without the support and cooperation of the US and UK, you are just not paying attention. In the very early years of Winston Churchill he knew the 500 years of UK coal was no match for oil to power their Navy. Watch "Lawrence of Arabia" but focus on the backstory. Watch "Gallipoli" and focus on the backstory. While these are movies you can see parts of what happened if you are too lazy to research the old newspapers.
FWIW, there were 3 basic owners of Standard Oil
The Harkness family in OHO that put up the capital
The Flagler who was the brains and gave away much to create Florida
The Rockefeller who was the junior partner and accountant
Primarily through two of those three much wealth was dispersed in the South and some descendants exist today if you know where to look. Won't be on the internet or Googly Moogly but lots of information from the past has been lost or history has been rewritten. When people like me pass, that information will be lost as youth always think they are smarter till they are and only realize their folly when they get to my age.

I agree. I appreciate what you did and the sacrifices of our military personnel, but it was largely for poor reasons with no final plan/resolution.

A lot of words to try and explain your ignorance, the British mandate over Palestine created Israel. The British put the sultan in place on the throne in Iraq after the Ottomans collapsed. Turkey came out of the Ottoman Empire. The Persians predated Europe over Iran and the Saudi family took root in Arabia long before the US existed. Do better in the future
