Both reasons they may cease to exist. They need to either allow for more immigration or do a lot more playing around so to speak.
They even have trouble reintegrating members of their diaspora. I'm skeptical that they will be able to control their TFR like they think they can, contracting their population to around 100 mil.

All's they need to do is incentivize child bearing like Hungary is doing. Super easy. Plus they're carbon neutral as frick.
Sorry if I'm MJGA as frick but I love that country and culture so much.

I've watched the Hungarian situation closely, but their TFR is still well-below replacement, to my knowledge. There hasn't been a country that has successfully raised their TFR, save for Romania in 1966. It's incredibly difficult to raise the TFR above replacement once that TFR has fallen below 2. I don't think there is an example in the world in which the TFR has increased above 2 from a TFR that was previously below 2. Sorry if that didn't make any sense.
Japan's plan is to contract the country to 100 mil is fairly dangerous, as it makes maximizes pressure on the people in this generation to support their parents, which, I would argue, limits their ability to procreate. There is no guarantee that it will remain at 100 mil.

I was told to leave a restaurant there once because I was American or white.
Either that or you had visible tattoos which they consider obnoxious.
Japan is nice, especially at Cherry-Blossom Time (Aprilish). Polite people. Definitely xenophobic. Though they are oddly curious about foreigners too. I had occasion to attend an onsen (natural hot tub) there. Beautiful location in a garden area. Au naturale. Suffice it to say they are not afraid to gawk. Weird, weird aspect of an otherwise pleasant experience.

Often cited; highly misleading bc japan’s risk profile here is quite low since most of the debt is owned/held domestically

Were a country to go insolvent against its own people, that seems a fairly high risk precept.

This problem will correct itself.
Nature has a inherit bias towards breeders. You can get into weird situations where a huge % of the population doens't want to reproduce, but over time the breeders will take back over.
Japan's lack of immigration will save them from losing their country while their birthrates are so artificially low.
In Europe and the USA, our countries are going to be stolen out from under us while our reproduction rate is low, because we are allowing in millions of people who are reproducing like crazy.

Exactly. I love having Japan as an ally. I can’t wait for them to start rearming and having a full blown military again.

I watch the Jap channel on Uverse a good bit, and I couldn't agree more. Their country is stunningly beautiful. Their culture will be preserved forever.
They don't care about being diverse and all inclusive. They care about their people and that's it.

And their men won’t put out. So you automatically move up a bit in the dating pool

Homogenous society would be great, great, great!

I bet you have never been to Japan but you seen it from your back porch like Palin sees Russia.

I'd rather have this issue than identity politics, horrible MSM bias, SJWs, border issues, giant welfare state thats propped up on the backs of a few hard workers, etc.

Uhh... hate to break to you, but....
Economy ain’t strong. And...
Japan’s Population Projected to Plunge to 88 Million by 2065
Their homogenous society is incapable of sustaining itself

They're obviously not all homogeneous, or else you'd never see any little Japanese running around.
