I guess the question is how do you mix that with the right to hire who you want for your company?
I would be ok with something that prevents medical changes and requirements for existing employees but allows new hire requirements to be set.
I want to set a new hiring requirement for my business that I will only hire people who have been sterilized. Men, women, non-binary, etc so it's not discriminatory. Is that ok?
I also want to set a requirement that all new hires must be within the healthy BMI range. Is that ok?

Everyone's healthcare being tied to employment is a fricking disaster.
fricking bullshite.
You CHOOSE to work for a company that either doesn't offer health insurance or they do and it's shitty.
Go find another a job, that's what real men do instead of begging like you Liberals do.
The government sucks at everything they do, I don't want those retards handling my health insurance.
Your utopia would be based on wallet size instead of age, health condition and family size.
Another thing, how in the frick would it work for someone to carry health insurance from one company to another?

I'd rather the government be involved in what A business is doing than my personal decisions indirectly.
I agreed with this guy for once

Are people who receive monetary benefits from the government considered employees?

I'd prefer we totally overhauled the whole system. Removed the ability for drug companies to advertise, price controls, use bargaining power at a national scale, and offered a public option.
Some combination of the above would probably help the pricing side of things

Of course they shouldn’t be allowed to mandate medical care. It’s insane. It’s not so easy to find a good job so to act like you can just go work somewhere else is dumb. Holding them accountable for reactions doesn’t work either. How are you going to tell what caused your autoimmune or cancer 5-10 years from now. This whole country has lost its mind.

It’s interesting. There hasn’t been any legislation, to my knowledge, protecting entities mandating vaccinations for employees.
If someone experiences a severe reaction from a vaccine due to a mandate, I hope they sue so we can see that play out.
Under current Fed law and all state law that I am aware of employers can mandate vaccines as a condition of employment with certain restrictions. If an employer mandates the vaccine then any adverse reactions would be covered under Workers Comp. The comp carrier would then have a subrogation interest in any funds recovered under the CICP/VICP programs.
This isn't to say people won't sue, they will, the question is will an attorney going to be creative enough to crack the nut. I say they won't. They have to first get past one of the liability shields both employers and vaccine manufacturers have then they have to prove causation and damages.
This is not to say I think mandates are a good thing especially in the ham-fisted way they will almost certainly be implemented. At the very least there should be exceptions for those that have the proper amount and type of antibodies to provide equal or better protection than the titers from the average vaccinated person. One size fits all never really fits anyone.

People have rights until those rights interfere with others. When businesses become so powerful that they can rule over other people, those powers need to be limited. This is why monopolies are broken up.
No, businesses do not have the right to mandate things to your body. That should be off limits no matter the reason.
