If the meal you order comes out missing one of the sides, and generally taste like poo, do you keep eating or ask for a refund?
There is a certain type of person that licks the plate clean regardless of the taste and asks for a refund - that kind of person usually doesn’t tip either

I am assuming that someone can sign in any parish not just the one they reside in?
You can physically be in any parish to sign, but your witness must be registered in the same parish you are in, and the sheet has to go to the registrar of voters in your parish. After the parish rep double and triple checks them, they are submitted as a group to the registrar of each parish.

If you have to ask, that means he has been very silent on the matter.
Silence = Violence

Is there any way we can run campaigns concurrently to threaten to recall the legislators that are keeping us closed as well?

I am philosophically opposed . I don’t generally think it’s wise to recall a duly elected politician unless there is a crime. He won an election and so he should govern. Even if he sucks.
Change my mind.
Recall is a process created for situations where a duly elected governor (or other elected official) is not governing in the best interest of the state or if enough of his constituents don’t agree with his policies. Impeachment is for when elected officials commit crimes.

Much to that other poster’s chagrin every time I mention this,
You mean my pointing out that you clearly have a very specific agenda here with how you want people in the state of Louisiana to go about ending massive government overreach? And that specific agenda is tailored to protect the individual most responsible for said overreach, despite the fact that removing that individual seems to be the method that is garnering the most support?

it’s about allocating your limited time and resources into an area where you’re most likely to make a difference.
It’s also about identifying a cause that’s going to gather the most support in the least amount of time. Edwards is the very public face of government overreach in the state. At this point just about every eligible voter knows who he is. What percentage of people do you think could name their local representative, or pick him/her out of a police lineup?

Recall them and vote for someone who will.
So another potentially feckless politician as I already mentioned. Perfect.

they must use the same signature as when you go vote
Reps are verifying that the signatures are correct(geaux vote app) as people are signing the recall sheet

Change my mind.
How about violating the 1st amendment. Closing churches was a huge eff up. And anyone that did that, should never govern anyone again. Ever
If one violation of the Constitution wasnt enough to change your mind, what about 2? Individual American states can't really impose trade restrictions, because the U.S. Constitution gives the federal government exclusive authority over domestic commerce. Forcing the closure of any business that operates across borders is not within his powers, emergency or not
If you allow him to continue in office, when you have a recourse to remove his illegal behavior, just sanctions the next governor to do worse. Ya know in the name of a health crisis (or climate crisis, or racial injustice, or gun violence)

all the people that voted for him would just vote for him again or vote for someone worse
Someone doesnt know how a recall works in La.

Recall petitions floated across the desk of the 20 most conservative Senators would be more effective
Why waste the effort? You take out JBE. and you have their full and undivided attention
