I am too busy to know why Rand is doing this farce but it is likely nonsense on his part and a distraction from other Trumpian nonsense.
You argued with anyone and everyone about it at nauseum.
Funny you are "too busy" now.

sorry I'm way too busy to get things right nor willing to admit when I got things wrong so I'll just go on pretending because I'm verbose that somehow doesn't make me a pompous POS.........
Damn bud, me saying I was too busy to follow Rand's pointless theatrics really upset you. I'll be here for football season so don't worry little guy.

You people have to be some of the dumbest frickers in the world. I am literally referring to one thing.

It didn't upset me. It revealed you for who you are.
Somebody who doesn't have time for Rand's "pointless theatrics" meant to get to the bottom of one of the worst moments in this country's history. At best our experts making terrible decisions and at worst a cover up and conspiracy that destroyed millions of lives.
A moment you apparently had all kinds of time for in the moment to support some of the worst actors in the history of the country.
But now Rand's "theatrics" are just too much for you.
Agiain, this makes you a POS not "too busy".
Little guy

quote:Well, that is not exactly true. Smallpox and polio are pretty satisfactory, as is measles and others. The more limited antigen associated w/ CV19 mRNA vaccines, probably contributes to some of the variance along with rapid antigenic evolution / immune escape.
Vaccines by themselves are not satisfactory for disease control.

quote:If the CV19 vax carried efficacy analogous to Polio (IPV) over time, eradication would be a possibility.
Well, we never were going to eradicate a worldwide virus without controlling transmission routes, which would include things like shutting down travel.
But given that eradication could not possibly be a goal given our tools vs CV19, again the question is WTF were we doing PUSHING peds CV19 vaccination under an EUA. There is literally no scientific rationale for that within the general peds population.

What you are missing here is the transmission routes. Smallpox was aided by a consistent presentation as well as a viral exanthem, thus people could self-isolate. Polio's transmission was limited first by water filtration before a vaccine was developed, and polio was chosen as a vaccination candidate by virtue of the seriousness of its sequelae, even though those sequelae affected less than 1% of children. We were also aided by the relative lack of variability in antigenic sites in a pathogen like polio, which is an RNA virus but has a relatively simple structure.

Absolutely. Not that anyone will care, but I wrote about this very early on. Finding the original post where I wrote about this is hard as I didn't save it initially, but here is a reference to it made by jimmy the leg. LINK
The long and short of it is that you have to be very purposeful with a disease control strategy and the characteristics of the pathogen have to be front and center. Vaccines are effective in a scenario where the pathogen does not establish latency, does not undergo antigenic variation and does not interfere with host immune response. CV19 has those characteristics, although it is has been a few years since I looked into its host immune response. My thoughts on it during the height was that there was a remarkable ability for the infection to have a different 'quality' in patients who were related, and I posited that one possible source of such a difference in quality would be that CV19 is possibly HLA-mediated. Regardless, CV19 is one of the worst candidates for a 'vaccine-only' control method.

I wrote here in 2021 about what I think the goal was by designing a mRNA vaccine with a narrow molecular profile. In hindsight, that was a massive mistake, as instead of bringing the virus closer to its error mutation rate, it instead served as a sort of a fulcrum for further mutations. LINK

Well, it is pointless. And two, it clearly didn't affect the actual president at the time.

Again, you should read the posts I actually wrote.

Because I have no belief that they will lead anywhere significant. He could prove me wrong, but my view is that this is all theater.

This is exactly the type of behavior the defenders of Fauci and Covid hysteria engaged in during the pandemic.
Now, you’re bothered about it when it’s your ox getting gored.
Goose and gander. Get fricked.
While I understand that your amygdala is probably hijacked since you are resorting to insults / name-calling, which by the way is also a key symptom emotional immaturity and reflects a lack of self-regulation, could you explain to me WFT your are referring to regarding "ox getting gored" and "goose and gander"?
I know what those phrases mean in general; but not in this specific case. Take your time thinking about your answer, if you need to.

You seem angry, understanding that tone does not always come across accurately in the written word. I don't want to assume.

the post I read said you were "too busy" to deal with Rand's (and presumably the rest of the US senate that bothered to show up)'s theatrics.
This made you come across as a pompous blowhard and revealed how deeply invested you are in NOT getting to the truth of one of the worst moments in this country's history.
My interaction with you has done nothing but confirm this "holier than thou" pomposity which makes it easy to conclude you were one of the blowhard "scientist" 's pushing this bullshite when it happened.
Others here who have read your posts then seem to concur.
If you don't want to have people conclude you were a POS when this was going on don't have your first post here start with you acting like a POS.

Fauci is single handedly the reason the public has lost full trust in doctors. He is the reason people flock to naturopaths who promise nattykinase is effective. I wouldn’t wipe my arse with his medical degree

Look, if you can't read the entire sentence and try to make it seem I am saying something I did not say, I will treat you as though you are operating in bad-faith and dismiss you. If you have an actual question, I will answer it. That is how it goes.

crazy does a nice job in Fauci's back up band.
Instead of trying to regain trust by actually participating in the process (by figuring out what went wrong in the first place), crazy would rather pretend he's too important (busy) and that the people attempting to do this job for us are just participating in theatrics.
This way he can just move on and continue to pretend he's the smartest guy in whatever room he's in.

who says I have any reasson to want you to answer a question?
you started in this thread by saying you were too busy to deal with the "theatrics" of the US Senate in the process. Do you really think anybody expects you to act "in good faith" from there.
If you would have started in this thread in good faith I'd be engaging you in good faith. You started in this thread (and have continued) like a pompous POS. I've treated you accordingly.

But the statement ...

Why don’t you tell us about the times when you screwed up, were misled, made a fool?
It is akin to discussing a case of abominable child abuse, and you asking those criticizing the abuser if they've not punished their children at some point. The two are on totally different paradigms.
