I am now a candidate for Mayor of Covington, UPDATE to Mayor-Elect (pg 4)

Known locally for a couple of years I was running for Mayor, the formal announcement hit this week on NOLA.com. In hindsight, I should have announced here first.
Current mayor is termed out. Two major opponents are a sitting councilman and a former mayor. I've never run for elected office before.

50% of our property taxes go to the school system ... and they do a good job spending them. That said, that is a LOT of money.

Actually, I had the opposition research done on myself (as well as one of my opponents). All good. Most local posters have long known who the Fat Man is - - it's not a secret.
