How many scientists or mathematicians do you know? Most are college professors teaching the same shite for 20 years. Engineering is better but most tech jobs are in specific locations in our country. Tech jobs for undergraduates are typically supervisors at factories. Unless you’re going to a top school for tech engineering you’re not getting a great job at the top. Sure you can connect wires or run systems but that isn’t engineering.

This. I am building a house right now. I am using a custom home builder who does not engage in the mass production of subdivision-style homes. Almost all of his guys are American baws, even down to the laborers. My pricetag is higher and my wait time to move into our new house is longer (mainly due to the customization issues), but it's a conscious choice I made.

In my case over a hundred non engineers.
Some are part time professors.
Ironically my night professors were all in the field.
There are millions of Engineering jobs in America.
People get comfortable and don't want to fight for a better job.
College professor is an easy life, I wish more dipped into Tech, we need them.

Yep. That’s why I don’t buy into the outrage because a lot of Americans are lazy. I can’t blame private companies selecting hard working individuals even if they’re not from here. It still boosts our economy and it’s their choice. Our Americans ruin private companies by creating unions because they’re entitled yet they can easily be replaced. The big problem is Americans. People just don’t like to hear that or remind themselves of the real problem. That doesn’t make me not America first when Americans don’t want the jobs.
