Beyond any relevance to how voters would feel about it, it's perhaps actually a service to our nation that this stuff is coming out now and being made known, as opposed to later being used as blackmail and extortion material if pops were to become President and got roped into involvement for fear of a huge scandal WHILE PRESIDENT. The temptation to make it quietly go away would be substantial, and therein lies the potential serious harm to the country.
