Two issues I see with what they want to here. First I don’t see how they can get around HIPPA. If your not adjudicated then any medical information couldn’t be released by a medical provider without changing the law.

Dammit, it's HIPAA not HIPPA. The HIPAA regulations already state that almost any law enforcement can obtain medical records without the patient's consent.

Hopefully you are correct, but the way things are today I find little comfort in hearing, "it could never happen here."

I'm not saying it could never happen. I'm saying hold your angst for something that is more tangible.

This bill is just performance asshattery. It will never see the House floor. When a gun control bill actually has a chance of being debated, then you can start the hand wringing and whining.

I’m legit concerned. They are doing or plan to do everything on their agenda.

What is stopping them?

Since they own the House, Senate and Presidency...

Nothing is stopping them.

And it will NEVER be enough. It will start with AR’s and will end up being every gun.

Sad and scary times. I truly don’t to relate to people ok and even happy with events of the past year. It’s terrifying.

You're right. Always best to wait until the wolf is at the hen house door.

No, but there is no reason to be outraged over a crazy, over reaching bill that has no chance of advancement.

People in this thread are saying "I told you the Dems would try something like this!" This is not an "I told you so" moment. This is a clearly unconstitutional bill that has zero chance of advancing.

You don't have to wait until the wolf is at the hen house door, but you might want to wait until a wolf actually exists.

That entire bill may not have a chance but a lot of what is in that bill sure does like semi auto ban and magazine limits.

The democrats could care less the constitution.

That wolf has been around for over a century. There was a time we had no limits on types of firearms, having them shipped to our homes, no prohibited classes, no restrictions on interstate travel, etc. After a century at the very least we face bans on folding stocks, registration via the NFA and magazine limits so some fudd can tell us hunting is still allowed.

And registry is simply a list of who to go frick with first. California showed that right off the bat to a citizen legally complying.

This is not about compliance. It’s about 100% control, And if they need the guns they have some serious shite planned for us.

Gun control has always been about control. The funny thing about it as the supporters believe "they have to do something" yet never care about the results of their actions.

This will be the bill that the Republicans and 'moderate Dems' 'boldly fight' and defeat, only to turn around and 'compromise' on what the Uni-Party really wants

Just because it’s introduced doesn’t mean it’ll pass. I don’t think y’all realize that nothing is going to make it through YET

Previous spouses? I would be toast if not for that boating accident.
