As reported in Gustave Gilbert's "Nuremberg Diary" based on interview with Hermann Goering in his jail cell as he awaited execution.
National leaders simply scare their own populations by telling them those foreign people are murderous lunatics. That is how they convince voters that a caravan of uneducated peasants like this:

Am I the only one who thinks the oppression they are leaving can't be that bad if all of them look like have never been denied an extra ladle of food in their entire life?

I would actually welcome a civil war at this point. It’s comig anyway and I’m still 29 and spry somewhat fresh off the war in the Middle East. No one I care about is a leftist for the most part and if they are they’re older and won’t be fighting. We all gotta die and dying performing your sworn duty as a citizen has gotta be one of the best ways.
