You’re right, recently. But look at what a lot of those republicans were registered as 20 years ago

The state is moving more red, but we still tolerated fricking JBE despite him being a fricking crook and tax and spend liberal

I don't think anyone has mentioned that Mary was a FOB, Friend of Bill (Clinton) back in her first senate election and she had the power of Clinton making phone calls to certain demographic groups.

Their connection was through a group of "young Democrats" who were going to change things.

What ever happened to her husband and son?

Her last name was Landrieu.

Sorry I'm fairly young but how did she constantly get elected in a conservative state? She had no resume going into congress. She was a god damn real estate agent. Also she was pro-choice, how did the evangelicals put up with this shite?

Louisiana is not a conservative state. We have free healthcare for the poor, free college, we have the highest sales tax, we love government pork, and we are unwilling to cut anything.

It was optics. Mary won a lot of elections because she was supported by print media in La. when newspapers were the main source of info.

She always used pics of herself from a LONG time before she started aging:

Notice the hair. It looks blond. Her hair is brown turned grey. IRL her hair is orange because of the constant dyeing to make it look blond. I was with her at Cedric Glover's party after he was elected Mayor of Shreveport.
By 'with' I mean I was standing 2 inches away from her. She's 5-2 and her hair is orange.

State Treasurer, no republican ran, she won with 33% of the vote, when her democratic opponent decided not to contest the runoff.
Ran unopposed for re-election. Few year later she was in the US Senate.

She also ran for governor in 1995. Finished third.

That’s close enough for a person to sniff it.

I’m gonna show that David Vitter guy. Since he was with a prostitute I’ll pay 2 billion in taxes and allow Texas to make a killing off of our oilfield jobs. Republicans for Edwards!

Boy, did you nail it. So true.

Orleans Parish would always be the last to report in Mary's elections. Orleans Parish would give Mary just enough votes to win. Most of those votes came from St. Louis Cemeteries Nos. 1, 2, and 3

MASSIVE voter fraud is your answer.

She had a great rack when she was young-- before she ballooned up to 2 bills.

One of those was the black Republican PBS Pinchback during Reconstruction.
