To deny that blacks have a vastly higher crime rate is to live in denial.

Is that the main oppressive issue for blacks in America? The criminal justice system ?
Okay ...so the objective they seek is tied to their criminal element serving less time in prisons.
If this is "fixed" are blacks no longer oppressed? This will solve their issues and alleviate the grievance/victim culture that seems to be prevalent currently?

A white kid gets arrested with a joint. A black kid gets arrested with a joint.
Neither are going to jail.
I do agree with you about needing some drug reform.

Every person of color has it better here than they would anywhere else in the world. Why do you think they are all trying to get here and pitching a fit when they can't

I think that is the one area local and federal government could do better.
The rest, things like black on black violence, young unwed mothers having multiple kids from multiple fathers, the devaluing of education, have to come from within the black community.
Those things can't be fixed from outside.

If you have all of this
The other shite almost totally disappears.

How about we give every black soul alive in the US $10,000 and a free house. Would that end this insufferable BS?
It’s 2017
Slavery ended in 1865
I would take that deal if they overly taxed every “white non Hispanic” for one year.

Dude, that's where most of the problems in the black community stem from, the breakdown and pretty much non-existent black family unit anymore. Thats the problem. Including the disrespect and hatred of police. They don't get disciplined and taught right from wrong by a man, therefore, you leave it up to a woman to act as the father figure and that just doesn't work the same. Either their mother has to try to grow them into a man, or they learn right from wrong from the police by getting arrested and going to jail, which makes them dislike cops for some reason. Its really that simple. Sorry, but it's the truth. ZERO RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY, WHEN A SIMPLE arse KICKING BY THEIR FATHER GROWING UP COULD HAVE MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE, BUT HE WASN'T AROUND.

I never condoned criminal behavior, though I think a lot of minor drug offenses should be decriminalized.
But as long as those things are criminal, one race shouldn't be sentenced disproportionately to another.
Could this be that many black people who are accused of said crimes in a court of law are REFUSING to get legal council? Thus agreeing to longer sentences?

That could be the case, or they have prior convictions on their record that isn't in the statistics. They will try and say it's white privilege that got the whites their attorneys though, total bullshite. People that bust their asses getting educated and bust their asses working and making money shouldn't feel bad for it. The others that don't have the money didn't do what they should have done and there's no other explanation. It's all on the individual and their want to better themselves in this country, nothing else.

Show me where a 1st offense "black kid" from the inner city is getting worse punishment than a "1st Offense" white kid from the burbs......I really doubt you have any REAL data and it is all some SJW bullshite!

The absolute truth is they are in no way oppressed but it's easier to blame and point fingers at others in lieu of taking responsibility for your own decisions.

Poor white kids get shite on by the system too. It's not your race, it's how much money and influence you have

Black people in the USA in 2017 aren't oppressed by any stretch of the imagination.
I've lived abroad and seen actual ethnic oppression and discrimination. OPEN discrimination. And those folks on foreign soil have a better attitude than some of my swarthy brethren here. It blows my friggin' mind.
We are at a point now we're I'm called a "coon," or "self-hating" by some who share my skin tone because I have the temerity to render respect to the colors. And I'm a veteran, for crying out loud. Ridiculous.

Why do people only talk about slavery? What about Jim Crow? That never happened?

What does this vapid platitude mean?
It simple means that certain minorities, through a combination of self-inflicted wounds and historical oppression, are not treated as equal by government.
