Wife is a school teacher and she'll have an extra $1,980 per year.

Haven't received my own yet.

For Pelosi, relative to my wife's meager school teacher salary, yes, she feels like that is a pretty decent amount of extra money. Our annual vacation will now be "free," when combining my wife's additional income with what more I'm expecting.

I noticed a few of us or our wives are teachers. That group is probably at least 90 percent liberal. I know it's that way in western North Carolina.

I wonder if the tax cuts will make any of them think about how they were flat out lied to about the tax cuts and who gets them. My wife argued with me and swore that our taxes would go up, because that's what she heard on NPR.

Not a peep. Oh well.

Walmart employee. I’m getting a one-time $400 bonus. No other extra raises. Just a 2% annual raise...same as last year.

As a retiree, I do not think I will see a change in taxes till next year, is that correct?

Depends on your income. If you still have income that you are being taxed on, like from a 401k, then you should see a decrease on taxes taken from that.

$200 sounds pretty nice, but you should also check your federal and state tax withholdings to see how they changed.

Some will be reasonable and recognize they were lied to by many in DC and their states. Some will see the cuts and it still won't be enough because take home pay is not a priority for them.

I have an uncle who is a professor who has deluded himself into going from "my paycheck won't go up" to "they'll find a way to tax me more come tax time to offset the lower withholding."

I cannot imagine holding yourself out to educate children if you are that unwilling to accept mathematical fact.

They are telling me march 1st before I see it??

Arkansas Here

At the same time, this is a company who I feel has internal payment problems. But shite, it annoys me when all you guys are talking about your 80 bucks and I won't know for another month at this point?

Also pissed that I didn't get a bonus for bringing in 152k profit to the company. Not shite. My supervisor racked in 300k and they gave him $100.00

Anybody hiring? I can pass a drug test

Yeah, it's up to your company to adjust their withholding tables. In the end, you'll get your money when you file your taxes since you will overpay this year most likely.

I was going to say, time to find a new job.
