Fair is fair.

I believe Hammurabi said that the punishment for false witness should be the same as if they had committed the crime themselves.

Or perhaps it was to take out their eyes.

Either of those would work.

I disagree with this notion bc most people who are accused honestly get too much punishment. It won't be popular, but people who actually rape should not get years upon years in prison.

It's mind boggling that people get so much time, especially for meaningless stuff like theft and drugs, etc. not saying that they aren't serious, but time in jail is harsh and difficult enough.

For what they put this poor man through, they should flog them on the Washington Mall... and I’m not joking. This is will be a tactic used by the Dems over and over and over... until there is a damn strong reason to make these people think twice!!

It should be severe, but it would very difficult to prove that someone knowingly brought false accusations.

Once Kavanaugh is confirmed the Republicans need to move as far away from this shite pile as hey can get. It will serve no purpose to keep the issues percolating and give the media more ammunition to create false narratives.

What do you feel the appropriate prison sentence for rape should be?

Minimum? Ten to fifteen years at hard labor without any chance of parole. That would stop that s##t.
