No offense, but do you know how uninformed you are appearing posting polls after the shellacking the polls got wrong? It's like asking your neighbor how the country views one thing or another.

No offense, but the polls I read were all correct last night, well within the margin of error..except MI gov race. The #s I posted above are from Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll, traditionally favoring D.

Here's some math...

We aren't going to win the Senate and we will barely, if at all, win the house.

Here's some more math...

He's 0-9 in the races that count.

His candidates suck at winning in a general. Is that better?

In swing states, we don't have the number of GOP voters so that we can just win on the voters that show up and support in the primary.

To win in a general, you have to build your base. You have to not only get those who voted against you in the primary, but also some of those that did not vote in your primary.

So... they suck at that. Better?

Appearing uninformed to the uninformed, and being uninformed are in this case mutually exclusive.

Trump brought prosperity to my family. I could care less what he says on Twitter. The man is a business genius, and his policies/negotiation skills helped this country tremendously financially. I’ll vote for him again

They sucked at that, with very little help from GOP (because they do not like Trump, like you)...but Trump does not suck at that.

Whatever you say about him, he set records for turnout, winning counties that R hasn't won, ever.

Why the fk are you trying to fight about something 2 yrs away instead of helping fight in the fight we’re in right now?

Only an idiot would take the advice of someone who is such a cuck and running away from the real fight!

I posted this article when Trump as Candidate Trump back in 2016.

Trump the Rorschach candidate.

quote:

This is precisely why he has such an ardent following. Voters are quite literally investing themselves and parts of their psyche into this man and making him into whatever they desire him to be. Once that kind of personal investment has been made, it is quite hard to break. Trump can and has come out with positions or policy suggestions that his supporters would normally not tolerate, and they swallow them whole. Just keep the speeches vague enough and everyone can get behind it. Don’t say “government healthcare,” say, “we’re going to take care of people” — there’s plenty of blank space for the voter to fill out the details however they would like.

I would say Trump is brilliant for campaigning this way, whether or not I like the man, but the truth is that he is simply building upon the Obama “Hope and Change” model. He has added his understanding of marketing and salesmanship to it, but underneath, the nuts and bolts are Obama 2.0.

Trump himself has said, “I’m capable of changing to anything I want to be.” What he really means is, he is capable of convincing voters he’s whoever they want him to be.

Or they bused in retards and were told to vote Biden. Appears to be their MO since the dawn of time.

Those 174 wins don’t count? Name me a politician in history that has a better endorsement record. You can’t.

174-9 proves you are wrong again.

Where exactly were those 174 wins? If they are like backing candidates in places like Livingston Parish, then is that really something to write home about?

If you believe that, you are a bigger idiot than Trump. They probably took that at a MAGA rally.

Because 40-50% of the GOP are hardline Trump backers so it’s easy to win a primary between 3-4 candidates

So how do you unify the base and move forward past Trump?

Absolutely no reliable poll of Republicans this morning would say any such thing.

Do you believe that's what's fueling Desantis's success in Florida?

I would too against anyone who wants to legalize the killing of babies. That doesn't mean he has a chance to win. Newsflash: most American voters don't share the same views as Tigerdroppings posters.

The best thing that could happen for Americans right now is for Trump to have a massive coronary and drop dead.

Desantis has clear policy objectives and worked to minimize the damage COVID did to his state. Instead of talking, he does things.

Things trump never could pull off

Sure. That doesn't really have anything to do with my question.

I think the issue here is that failing to care WHY they hate him simply shifts the eventual hate to the next candidate up. Is there something SO different about Trump that he's uniquely hateable, or can we not think back to the press villainizing Bush, and McCain, and Romney? Or is it that Legacy Media spent the past 7 years absolutely BLASTING HIM nonstop, so much so that even people on The Right are tired of it and want it to stop?

Sure, Trump fought them like no other and garnered their intense hatred, but have we already forgotten "DeathSantis" being spoken by Legacy Media mouthpieces? As much as I like Ron D and think he's the future of The Right, pretending that tossing Trump overboard is going to suddenly usher in a new day where Legacy Media will stop running 24/7 hit pieces of whoever IS the next leader on The Right is silliness. And so long as they do that, a huge portion of the American people will despise their target. Moreso than anything, the issue is a lack of a free press and NOT candidates that people innately hate.

Toss Trump because YOU won't vote for him or don't like him. Don't allow the chance that Legacy Media will be nicer to the next one be the reason, because that's crazy talk.

Doing this is like being a fan of an MLB team that won 100 games but missed the playoffs.

Stop. Just...stop.
