If you care about saving lives you would go after the thousands of things that kill exponentially more Americans every year and ARE NOT protected rights.

Or just go after things that kill more school children than shootings, like school bus crashes. Why are there no seat belts or other modern safety features in buses, if they want to save children this is something they should be jumping up and down about, but it seems only the deaths of children that can be used to further a political agenda matter to the left.

I've always wondered why they would put the lives of so many school children in danger by not having seat belts for every child in a school bus just to save a few bucks?

More than one school out of 150,000 schools once every 5 years.

100x more kids die from texting and driving every year.

1. Bag Checks at entry points
2. More armed security at schools.
3. If a kid is a known pressure cooker like Cruz either expel him from school or have a 21 jump street type program where one bad arse 20 year old is undercover and sits beside or behind the nutjob in every class. Have another one who shadows the nutjob in the halls and restrooms between classes.

Not sure I like the teachers being armed, especially the female teachers. I could see some crazy student daring the teacher to shoot them or going for the gun in a physical altercation. Also could see a teacher getting into an altercation with a student and using lethal force where it isn't needed. Some teachers for sure, but not every one.

This is about us protecting ourselves from tyrannical governmental control. What about this argument do you not understand? If you agree that government is responsible in this matter, why in the hell would you submit further to them and give them more power by disarming yourself? You people refuse to look at the big picture here.

A complete ban? Literally all of them, and then the answer is still no. You and I both know that will never happen, and the fact that you rely on emotionally-driven nonsense is a good indicator of that.

It would not matter. The problem is that the authorities can't get the illegal guns off of the street now, and there are millions of them. Taking guns away from law abiding gun owners does nothing, that is, if the authorities are doing their job not giving guns to autistic, troubled, voice hearing youths, guns. The laws are there, but they need to be carried out.

the US has 4.88 homicides per 100,000 people per year. Canada has 1.68. The UK has 0.92. France has 1.58. Germany has 0.85. Spain has 0.66.

Let's look at the countries with the highest homicide rates and compare them to gun ownership.

Seems to me that Canada, France and Germany have a pretty high rate of gun ownership.

The data suggests that countries with the highest homicide rates have some of the lowest levels of gun ownership. Your cherry picking of stats with the UK and Spain does not change this. If your logic that gun ownership equated to higher homicide rates was correct, then the US and Yemen should have a rate at least double of what they do.

By your logic, people cannot be trusted with guns because a few crazy ones have killed some people. So, we should put all our faith in governments run by people to protect us. Even though governments have killed over 100 million more of their own citizens in the last 100 years than people that have died from random gun violence.

Do you realize a gun ban and open borders cannot coexist.

I’m sure you are against a wall, yet hypocritically excuse Chicago’s crime rate by noting guns come in from outside the area.

Guns aren't the problem. Criminals are. If guns are banned, criminals will get their hands on them anyways and it would create a dangerous black market.

Unfortunately, nothing short of airport style security can stop this from happening. If someone really and truly wants go shoot up a school and doesn't care if they die doing it, it's almost impossible to stop them.

As it turns out, my logical brain doesn't allow me to pretend a law banning a certain gun would accomplish anything.

I understand that you emotional types have the advantage of being able to identify solutions based on the suspension of reality.

So, to answer your question, I will NEVER, ever agree to it.

His need to address the situation is based on his emotion.

He does't care about black people therefore he sees no need to address that.

See Australia as an example. Armed robberies increased significantly after their “gun ban”

That stuff doesn’t happen tho. Mass shootings at schools do.
