Those numbers more than likely represent, machine guns, short barreled rifles/shotguns and suppressors as those are the only items one has to register

Nope. Those registered numbers in OP are for NFA registered guns I.e the ones requiring a class 3 license and a tax stamp

The numbers for NFA firearms are actually higher than I expected

Those number are laughable. More people in Dallas own guns than the number they have listed for Texas. Lol

I don't know about the other places, but I don't know ANYONE in Alabama that doesn't own a gun, Those numbers seem absurdly low.

I completely agree with you.
I wanted to know how many people in the US owned guns.
If you have a more accurate link (I’ve zero doubt one exists), I’d be grateful to see it.
Tho ultimately… no one has a fricking clue.

Which makes sense.
From the same link:
Here are the 10 states with the highest rates of gun ownership:
Montana (66.30%)
Wyoming (66.20%)
Alaska (64.50%)
Idaho (60.10%)
West Virginia (58.50%)
Arkansas (57.20%)
Mississippi (55.80%)
Alabama (55.50%)
South Dakota (55.30%)
North Dakota (55.10%)

I'd be hard pressed to think of a person I know, that only has ONE gun.
Used to have a very liberal neighbor. His wife thought guns were evil. Even they had a .410 shotgun. In their minds, guns were just too dangerous for most people to posses. Meanwhile, they lived on the safest street anyone could fine, with all their neighbors owning multiple firearms. Only time a gun was ever fired, while I lived there, was from him TRYING to kill a non-poisonous water snake.

Don't know why anyone would register a weapon unless the state law requires it, I'd move.

24M AR-15S IN US
New data about sales comes as Congress is eyeing a ban on new rifle sales.
There are more modern sporting rifles in America than F-150 pickups on the road.
With numbers so high, it’s clear Democrats will have a fight on their hands if they try to ban firearms.

The list is for shite without Alabama on it. Probably over 50% easy.

The numbers for "registered" should be zero (at least for LA), but we all know the ATF is building that list from the FFL records

Non-venomous.
Unless, of course, you’re eating it.

The infestation of Californians currently flocking to those two states could change the numbers.
Many of the folks coming from California are conservatives, and most are gun owners.
