I'm in the 'either one' camp.

and there it is.....
Trump supporters are just as big crybabies as the progressive left they claim they hate. They are going to take their ball and go home if they don't get their way.

Just highlighting the similar mindset behind both.
Trump will actually be too old next time around. My context is that there are two ways forward right now, and only one could win in my view. Trump loyalty WILL fracture our vote which cannot be split. We need every single vote. It would be foolish of Desantis to run, if not then by design. He'll just run again in 2028. If he hamstrings us in 2024 it may well cause me not to vote for him in 2028 on principle anyway.
So, in this context, him waiting his turn really is not the same mindset. It makes so much logical sense to let the Trump train run its course and then start the pretend reform of the GOP with some supposed strength in 2028 when Desantis can basically OWN the party.
For my part, I cannot find it in my heart to vote for ole Ron if he were to run this time based on the inevitable math. Let's pray his handlers don't force his hand or persuade him to run. Let's pray we get a shot at Trump and then run a repeat win with Desantis and a 3-peat Desantis after his first term.

You can shame me all you want. I will not bend. I'm not being a crybaby by giving my opinion. After seeing who and what the GOP is since 2016 with such shamelessness, i can not support them until they've been destroyed and reformed. that is not to say they won't nominate a candidate i will vote for, but it will make it HARDER for me to vote for someone that uses them as a crutch to become selected. one such candidate i could support is still rand paul.

I'm a fan of both and don't really understand why anyone wouldn't be.
Trump going to after Desantis is retarded. But, that's always been his M.O.
I'm still team Trump but, head to head, I'd vote Desantis

Just laughing at the source of the post I quoted. It doesn't go any deeper than that.

Anyone else but Trump: Selected by a committee, establishment cuck!
Trump: Outsider! Selected by the people! Not establishment even though he had John fricking Bolton on his team, among others!

The Trump Train has run its course. Literally everybody sees this but you and a few others.

Funny, every single time there are threads with this topic it is always up/down voted right down the middle, if not favoring trump.
so it is not the case that "literally everybody sees this," you're just afraid and ball-less because you FEAR he can't win because he was cheated once. maybe you're right to fear they'll cheat him again. that's understandable, but with my actions i will support him and continue reminding people how short their memories are.

It was a literal impossibility for Trump not to have swamp creatures a part of his team when 99% of them are... Not that Bolton isn't abhorrent. He most definitely is.

This board is not reality by any stretch of the imagination. it is full of loons
Trump would be the most deeply unpopular presidential candidate in a long time, followed only by Biden.

What has Desantis DONE as the Governor of Florida?
He is a great governor.
He is not America First on issues that matter.
Trade, War and Immigration.
His big money backers are for open borders and amnesty but he's good for a stunt like sending 50 illegals to Martha's Vineyard to make you think a certain way.
CRT and many of these culture issues are local and should not be any concern to a national candidate whether it's Trump, Biden or Desantis.

That's just silly. You are too easily persuaded by poll data (just not the ones that have trump ahead), and MSM narratives, pal.

He's suggesting it's solved at a local level, not a federal level.

You have no idea if any of this is reality at this point in Desantis's career. None.
Trump had "big money backers" that were swamp creatures too. I'm sure you will overlook that though.
Desantis, as an executive, has been a fricking rockstar.
