Interesting how this is pseudo acceptable to the casual American, but secession as determined by the people of a State is unspeakable.

If the right was simply a little less crazy it would woo over plenty in the center that are sick of the insanity of where the country is and is heading. Progressives have took over the left and they're definitely absolutely nuts, but right now they're winning.

The left recognized and treats this like a war and they're right, it is. The right has yet to recognize that much less act like it.

Legalize weed is the first step.

it was certainly a critical step. I lived in CO for many years before CO and WA became the first states to legalize recreational weed and the change in the quality of who was arriving took a dramatic nosedive after that point. Now CO is on track to follow OR and legalize psychedelic drugs and eventually all drugs.

The recently concluded legislature passed several anti-gun measures and the governor has stated in the next legislative session his intent to pass legislation requiring a "permit to purchase" for firearms, AWB, and others.

I'm confused, so are you for big government telling you what you can do with your own body? Or against?

The center would move to the Right because they're sick of the Left's insanity if only the Right was less crazy - are you suggesting there are more whackjobs on the Right than Left?

Could also read like this:

“They were well organized, disciplined, and they imposed discipline on people who wanted to join their religion. They had requirements for people—particularly in local churches if you wanted to get support from them—you had to go and knock on a certain number of doors.”

Colorado was turning blue in the early 90s. The last R gov seems like ancient history. An influx of Cali dems joined forces with the dems in the state to completely destroy what was a fine state to live and raise a family. Total dem control now basically paves a way for them to pretty much do as they please.
Weed legalization just tamped it down with an abundance of woke progs inundating what’s left of a once conservative state.

The Republicans tried the Gnome’s approach in 2008 and 2012 with McCain and Romney. The results were abysmal. When will the lesson finally be learned by the GOPe?

You don’t win national elections with watered down milquetoast Republican candidates. You win with common sense conservatives who aren’t afraid to speak their mind.

The problem is that we’ve been too soft.

Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington used to be fairly red.

Until their ideas collapse like they are in California.
