I see the light going on more and more with people on here that DJT maybe cut some deals to get in power. But, to me, the behavior of Kash and Bongino is the most bizarre. I thought these guys would wreck shop and take down dozens of deep state scum. All we got so far is a strange prosecution of an autistic kid for J6.

Or, and I know this is boring, there wasn't anything there. Like the bust that was Epstein, which was one of the longest-running right wing conspiracy theories for a decade+

Is it possible that the inner crevices of government are evil and too ingrained to change?

No actual treason was ever alleged in any form of the GTOE that I have seen.

Yes, everyone here is quite aware you believe no treasonous activity occurred against Trump or the American people.

Well they can always pivot to "the Deep State" or some similar malleable term.

Trump is barely past the 1.5 year mark in a four year term that started after probably the most horrific Presidential administration this country has ever seen. Keep crying though.
I voted for him. He is allowing the criminals to walk. The very ones that stole the 2020 election and thereby creating the most horrific Presidential admin this country has ever seen are the ones Trump is letting get away with it.

Right. I think they realized the rank and file all hates them and just tried to act as a buffer from anything reaching Trump during this term. But, they might have felt threatened, too.

That's not what I said.

The formulations of others are what I referenced. None of them constitute the federal crime of treason. Sedition is a huge stretch, too.

This is the statute for treason

quote:

Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

The "levies war against" and/or "adhere to their enemies" portions aren't really contained within the various theories.

A major reason why there won't be many successful prosecutions is because there aren't the underlying crimes to be prosecuted.

I'm not a single issue voter, so it doesn't move the needle for me.

What about you? Are you voting Democrat now because Trump isn't going to prosecute democrats?

If anyone ever thought he was going to do something like this, it made them look even more stupid than they already are.

The post to which you replied was an in-depth look at one of the crimes being referenced. Nothing about me

YOU just made it about me. Please stop.

I think it is actually a smart move in the grand scheme of things. The statute of limitations has expired on many of the criminals, a lot of evidence was destroyed, and the media would use the criminal cases to help defeat republicans across the country in the same way that it galvanized support for Trump when he was indicted.

The best thing he can do though is air it all out publicly, so these people & their families are publicly shamed for the rest of their lives for what they did. The history books that will be written about all of them will destroy any semblance of a reputation that they have left. It sucks but don't blame Trump for this blame the feckless GOP who conspired with the Democrats to take down Trump when they have had years to investigate these cases.

Agreed. Their failure to at least explain the 180 degree turn is the worst part of it.

Their shameless lying about what the Epstein jail videos destroyed their credibility.
