How do you like your news?

I don’t mean right or left. Which of these best describes you?
-I stick to news sources that agree with my biases
-I tell people I prefer unbiased news, but in truth I get my news from sources that agree with my biases
-I prefer news sources that are as neutral as possible and I avoid news that has obvious biases (right or left)
-I prefer news sources that challenge my biases
Bonus question: what’s your go-to news source?
For me it’s BBC News (TV) for two reasons:
1. I prefer world news over USA news. Same with sports reporting.
2. By far the most unbiased journalistic approach I have seen
Not a scientific poll. Just curious to see how honest people will be.
Let’s see how many posts we can make it without insulting another poster.

You obviously don't understand the word "unbiased".

BBC is a left, racist news source from the most backward western country when it comes to freedom of speech and freedom of thought.
The BBC only exist because UK sheep are forced to buy a tv license that keeps that propaganda flagship afloat.

I’ve learned to filter any news I hear. Any extremist crap gets me to turn it off quickly. That includes both sides.

What do you base this on? Do you spend much time watching? They’ve taken a hard turn “right” in recent years which in reality brought them to the center.
My questions pertain to what you watch now, in 2024. Not what the situation was 10 or 20 years ago.

I scroll TD and make up my own mind based on the facts of the news.

I get my news from Pravda, the Korean Central News Agency, Xinhua, and the St. Tammany Farmer.

I read CNN for this reason. I trust myself to be able to pick out facts from their editorializing.

All news sources are biased. Some are more extreme than others but they all lean to one side or the other.
I typically stick with sources I am biased towards as a conservative.
My other options are sources like MSNBC that suggest we need common sense restrictions on the 1st and 2nd amendment to protect Democracy. They support judges trying to remove candidates from ballots without due process.
And then follow that up with stupid shite like my rural white rage makes me more likely to abandon Democracy without the slightest sense of self-awareness.
But the closest thing to an unbiased news source I routinely turn to is Ground News which is really just a collection of multiple new sources.

Honestly, I get my new from here...the Bawnews. No joke, I come here for relevant topics. I haven't watched the news on tv in years...as someone that deals in the legal community...the news is WAY more wrong than right so I just don't do it anymore.

I base this on comparing "news" from the BBC to other sources. As far as sources, I click on everything, not one just one, that leads to a closed mindset.
The quickest way to spot a leftist source is if they don't allow comments or they ban comments based on emotions.

if you are watching the news, you are watching propaganda

Let's just say, I don't do this. If you watch the news to find the lie, well, you were still played by paying attention to dumb artificial stories/narratives to begin with. That's why dipshits like Steven A. Smith are still on our TV feed. Just cut the cable, legacy media is dead.
As for what to consume: John Solomon, Lara Logan, Sara Carter, Brian Cates, Epoch Times. Maybe some Badlands Media personalities, should you favor that style of thinking.

I only read the unbiased, quality sites like the New York Times, Washington Post and L.A. Times. They tell me all I need to know about politics, wars, global warming and racism.
